Beckett! That's where I used to see fan-art! They did a Goki/Roshi Potara fusion!
My various fanfics.I think I've told the few stories I have of Dragon Ball in my childhood already, but I might as well.
I read the whole series entirely from my local library, which no longer has them.
There was a kid in Jewish Summer School who ranted at me that Broly was a good character because Goku was pampered and given all the toys while Broly was ignored and abused. Meanwhile, I didn't know who Broly even was and I don't remember doing anything to prompt this outburst.
Also, I had no idea of Dragon Ball's popularity until years after I had finished reading it, and I didn't even get around to watching any of the anime or movies until years after that.

Goku pampered? The kid who was abandoned on an alien planet, whose adopted grandfather died before he was ten, who lived alone in the wilderness for years, and who spent the rest of his childhood travelling the world, being put through Training from Hell, and generally just fighting all the time?
Yeah... I'm not seeing him as being pampered. But then young kids rarely have logically thought-out arguments.

I saw a figure of Super Android 13 when the Saiyan arc was still airing. I'd heard of Super Saiyan, and his hair seemed to fit...
K-zone was the Australian mag that had lots of overseas info. They revealed that Goku would beat Boo with the Genki Dama (using the original name, as they did) and showed a picture of Goku cutting Boo with a Kienzan (it wasn't meant to match the picture, I just read it that way) so I thought that was how the Boo arc was going to end.
I remember the mix of information that came out well ahead of where the broadcast was at, and even though most of it was correct the lack of context would make people completely misinterpret it.
edit: When I first saw Vegetto, it was a small figurine and I was told it was adult Gohan, with the Boo arc taking place while Gohan was 26.
I was also told Broly was a swordsman and had a 'wriggly' shaped sword. This was all playground rumours, not the stuff from magazines which was more accurate.

I... just remember pretending to be Super Saiyans with my friend during recess and us doing the Fusion Dance. Poorly.
Of course, I grew up in a podunk, backwater town which contained exactly -5 interesting things so hey.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!I did some repair work on that for you.
Yeah, but Goku only found that out as an adult and then it's never referenced again.
Thinking about it, if Super is just going to be fanservice anyway I'd like an episode of Goku meeting (Grandpa) Gohan again and introducing his family to him.
The family aspect seems to be one thing that Super handles pretty well.
You know, I was going to say that Bardock's long since been reincarnated, but with the way Super handles its afterlife, who fucking knows?
My various fanfics. When I was younger, the only thing that came on TV for Dragon Ball was the beginning of the Saiyan Arc up to the fight with Recoome.
Despite that, Rock the Dragon had Super Saiyan Goku, Vegeta, and Future Trunks in addition to Mecha Frieza. That's not even getting into the merchandise of characters that weren't even in the American dub yet.

Yeah, like, Goku doesn't really give too much of a shit about his Saiyan heritage. I'm pretty sure he'd have as much of an emotional connection to Bardock as he does to the postman.
My various fanfics.

Anyone remember Beckett and Pojo magazines? In addition to DB they did Pokemon, Digimon, and YGO stuff too - the holy tetrafecta of '90s goodness.
