Positive stoopid...so it'd work.
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.Well, a "good character" in this series anyway.
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.Apparently in the manga, the God of Destruction who beat Beerus in an arm-wrestling match who has a mortal in their universe stronger than them is... Quitela. That's right: the mortal stronger than Beerus is from Universe 4.
Is it one of the bugs? Mona? An ancient criminal too dangerous to recruit for the Tournament of Power who was sealed away, lest their immense and evil power be released, who is obviously going to be released just in time to be the main villain of the next arc?
My money's on the last one.

Or rather, don't pounce into them by polevaulting. For fuck's sake, you are making up stuff and betting it will be the case.

It's pretty obvious Nigrisshi was never actually their strongest guy now, even if you could say he was the toughest cyborg Maji Kayo is clearly better.
And I don't think Paparoni is controlling the cyborg guys on his team is he? They've been shown emoting to things, and talking too. Unless he's just doing a ventriloquist act when they're fighting someone, but why?

This is true. The fight with Krillin was kinda fun.
Well, what constitutes a good character varies. You have to put effort into them first, which Toriyama absolutely failed to do past Chiaotzu's initial appearance...but like many other characters, he kept showing up. Why did he hang around (even if it was to a lesser extent than others since even Toriyama fails to care about Chiaotzu) if he was never going to do anything again?
Oh right, to be an extra warm body for when everyone got slaughtered. How nice. Even his deaths seem like afterthoughts, barely getting any attention outside of how they affect Tien / Tenshihan.
If that's how you were going to use him Toriyama, then he should have just fucked off and gone with the Crane Sennin.
One Strip! One Strip!I agree with Saiga on Chiatzu with his fight against Krillin. I'm on the Dragon Ball manga #11 and his character comes of as "meh" to me.

Then WHY did he stick around?
I mean, what did his original death even add to the story? Roshi's alone held far more pathos, as had Krillin's. It seemed like Chiaotzu died just because Toriyama was all like well, he's got nothing else to do here.
If Chiaotzu had no further purpose in the story, then he should not have still been in the story.
One Strip! One Strip! For one, it made fight with Nappa all the more brutal and helpless when he blew himself up to no effect, especially with how tien reacted.
And really that was the best way to drop him out of the story - by showing why he doesn't come to fights anymore instead of just quietly sweeping him under the rug and hoping no one will ask any questions.
Really Rob, you are making way too much fuss over something innocuous.
Well, I don't think Chiaotzu was meant to be a Gag character though.
But I suppose it's pointless to complain about it.
I should probably comment on the Quitella / Beerus thing. I suppose him being the one who beat him in Arm Wrestling makes sense. It explains why Beerus seems so taken aback by him, and why Quitella seems to flat out enjoy needling him.
One Strip! One Strip!I'm sorry, but having there be a God of Destruction who beat Beerus in an arm-wrestling match but not an actual fight is an immensely specific detail and it's only relevant as far as this "mortal stronger than their Hakaishin" goes. With such blatant foreshadowing, there's no way that the mortal in question isn't going to be important at some point in the future.
If it's Quitela in the manga, it's going to be Quitela in the anime too. There's not going to be a difference as huge as "the home universe of this obvious key player in the future" between mediums.
Well we know the Gods of Destruction cannot fight each other directly anyway since that erodes all matter around them and risks exploding the universe (see Beerus vs Champa back before the U6/U7 Tournament). So them just arm wrestling as a contest makes some sense.
Presumably they could have a brief match on the Tournament of Power stage because they were in the "World of Nothing" and it can't be damaged because there's nothing there to damage.

I want an filler episode where U7 is in some sort of competition where Telekinesis would be overpowered. Chiaotzu shows up, Krillin asks him where Tenshinhan and Yamcha are, and Chiaotzu says that he left them behind because he didn't think they could keep up here.
