So in other words, Beerus screwed himself over by restoring U6 earth, since U6 might have been worse before then?
Heh. That's typical.
One Strip! One Strip! This randomly occurred to my thoughts...
But is it weird how though Primary 17 and 18 became good fellas...
Future 18 and 17 just get tore up by Future Trunks brutally...?

Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.Future 17 and 18 got torn up after over a decade of murdering and marauding their way across the world. The "turn over a new leaf" ship had very much sailed by that point.
In contrast, Present 17 and 18 had a very nasty goal, but didn't much qualify as malevolent while pursuing it - at least in comparison to other Dragonball antagonists - with a fair amount of Pet the Dog moments.
Didn't qualify...as in...they beat up the people who attacked them, stole a van, and accomplished nothing else.
But I still think it was too early for Future 18 and 17.

Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.Future 17 and 18 had no one to focus their hate on with Goku dead and just decided to go all in on destructive pastimes.
The combination of Goku being alive in the main era, 16 providing a somewhat positive influence, Cell coming back from the future to absorb them, and Krillin having an opportunity to show kindness to 17 and 18 is what prevents their present counterparts from following the same path.
Well, I mean, I believe 17 did say that even though they didn't like Gero, they might as well kill Goku anyway because it'd be fun. So having Goku to focus on prevented them from deciding to blow up cities for giggles. And Cell being against them did give them an enemy of my enemy situation with the heroes that let them fight against a common adversary.
I think I remember the reasoning being that while Future 17 and 18's lives had essentially been abused > experimented on by Dr. Gero > Dr. Gero betraying them, they hadn't felt any good in their lives and turned on humanity with their new powers because why should they care?
However in the present they were shown compassion from the Z Fighters when fighting Cell (18 especially, if you catch my drift) as well as meeting 16, and that helped them develop sympathy and compassion themselves.

"There's not a girl alive who wouldn't be happy being called cute." ~Tamamo-no-MaeToriyama on the state of manga nowadays.
He thinks that manga is much higher quality than it was in his time, but it's also less original and the writers follow trends more. Kind of interesting, considering Dragon Ball is one of the most influential works in the industry.
Yeah, both complaints basically say that manga/anime has become this snake eating its own tail that tries to emulate artificial anime cliches instead of reality.

I think that's more due to the Saiyans being a force for good in U6 instead of anything Champa's done.
