We aren't even close to Namek-esque Arc Fatigue. The Namek arc lasted 79 episodes from the time Gohan, Krillin, and Bulma landed to Goku defeating Freeza. The Universal Destruction arc isn't even anywhere close to that, only 29 episodes so far, and the actual tournament has only gone on for 9 of those.

The Arcs in Super are extremely short compared to Z.

I mean what's the longest Z Arc compared to the current longest Super Arc?

The longest Super Arc so far has been The Goku Black arc hasn't it?

Episode count is not the only contributor toward farigue. I agree it's nothing like Namek, but I totally felt arc fatigue before the tournament actually started.

Would That Man Is Dead implicitly count for 17 & 18? (since they still go by their android numbers long after the Cell saga), or does someone need to actually outright say something like that to count?

Ha, thought I was the only one....that Tien/Roshi episode was a chore to watch, more than anything.

This arc should've just been the exhibition match, with a few recruitment episodes (4-6, max). And those episodes should've only been for Krillin, Frieza, Gohan, and 17.

Screw the rest of the bums.

Well some stuff could be cut out without issue.

Like Tien's recruitment. I mean he didn't do anything cool & fuck what's her face, who gives a shit about her she was completely irrelevant.

Ha...remember that time Beerus threatened to kill Goku? Only happened 2 days ago in Dragon Ball time you know.

For us that was back in the beginning of February.

7 months sure do fly by.....

Yurin? It'd be a hell of a plot twist if she was.

Yes I was referring to Yurin, the woman who tried to assassinate Tien with what I'm assuming were Chinese charms.

I still haven't seen all of the pre-tournament episodes because of the burn out. Well, that and being extremely busy with life stuff right now.

However, of those recruitment episodes: the problem Kuririn and Gohan had is they learned the same lessons they already had in previous episodes, it was ridiculous. Gohan! Kuririn! Get your fighting spirit back! Again! Super is really bad at following up on the developments it creates, which could be a symptom of the anime creating these things that aren't in the script.

I would actually be fine with recruitment episodes for everyone if they weren't so ridiculous and just plain bad.

I mean, I think Gohan realized he lost his edge and needed to get back to his prime like three or four times already.

Haven't seen the latest episodes yet, but didn't he let his guard down in the Tenshinhan one? That means he's also forgotten the other lesson Super tried to teach him.

It might just be one of the most frustrating things about Super, the Aesop Amnesia and the sheer amount of time they dedicate to it.

@Kytseo: I'm honestly not sure. I think that question would be better suited for the "Is this an example?" thread.

Oh, and by my decree, the Krillin recruitment episode was one of the best of the arc so far. #comeatme
