Dr Rota is more of a jobber than Universe 3 and 10 combined. That's just sad. If they ever do a filler arc I want to see him want to get back Vegeta for jobbing him. Maybe he hires Hit. Or we could actually see him be an awesome doctor.
The Evil Containment Wave? Yeah, this is going to go badly. Frost is comparable to SSJ Goku, and will have hopefully gotten stronger after the year. Roshi, far from that league of power. The reason he's managed to excel against Universe 4 is because he's comparatively Weak, but Skilled like them. Using this will likely kill him just like against King Piccolo. Then I expect Frieza to step in and use the sealed Frost as part of his plan
Maji Kayo is actually not being one punched by Jiren? Either Jiren is barely using any of his power or he's clearly surprise Universe 3 has in store. I wonder if Paparoni controlling the U3 characters is why they suck
Piccolo's power is impossible to place (just like everyone in Super).
He was shown comparable to SS 2 Gohan in one episode but in the next episode was comparable to both Gohan and Goku's base forms and SS 2 Goku was able to contend with Ultimate Gohan.
I think Toshio said he's weaker than 17 but Toshio flip flops BIG TIME and soft retcons elements from the show (like with Roshi).
Second reminder to those who still think there's a new episode next: There isn't.
Fuji TV is doing a 27-hour Japanese history lesson, and there'll be segments where DBS, One Piece, Kochikame and Chibi Maruko-Chan characters living in different time periods. The next episode will air the following week, and the hour-long special will air October 7th.
Also, poor poor Piccolo, getting his arm shot off like that... multiple times.

That's might lead to a problem with taking directions.
I wonder how the rules will work if someone dies like Roshi was about to out of exhaustion. Since they weren't killed but are also dead, how does that work with the rules? Also, what happens to someone's soul if their body dies in the World of Void that exists outside the 12 10 universes?
I think I figured out what's going to happen in the next episode, but first let's look at the preview again:
From looking at this multiple times, I can tell that Roshi tries using the Mafuba on either Frost or Magetta but fails, Frost incapacitates him for info on the Mafuba and steals his container, and uses it on Vegeta as an act of revenge for the previous tournament. This is how Vegeta will be ringed out.
Also, can't wait to see more of Dyspo, he has a neat fighting style.

From the preview, episode 107 looks hella dope. You've got Maji Kayo squaring off against Jiren (and Dyspo), Frost finally showing up again after being MIA for like seven episodes, and more action from Magetta, which is never a bad thing. (I love that guy.)
Personally, I hope we see Freeza turn up in this episode. I'm really curious to see more interactions between him and Frost.
I also hope Vegeta doesn't get eliminated next episode, because I want to see a proper rematch between him and Ribrianne. I was so excited to see them square off, and what we got in Ribrianne's limelight episode was really disappointing.
No beer?! But if there's no beer, then there's no beef or beans! If Vegeta gets eliminated so soon I'd expect to see everyone on Universe 7 start sweating, including Goku.
My Megaman and MegaTen RPG LiveblogsThis episode is hillarious, because it's Gohan and Piccolo being helpless, wuth the letter losing his arms multiple times, Tien making a desperate suicidal charge and... Goku and Vegeta, literally just fucking around and being as unhelpfull as they can be, while it's obvious they could've just put an end to it with easy. The contrast is great.
Saying that this tournament emphasises gimmicks over power is a but silly, given that pretty much every gimmicky figther intriduced so far fails miserably and gets eliminated in short order, while the powerhouses endure.
Pretty much.
Dragon ball became all about Power years ago, and it's a waste to pretend otherwise.
Gimmicks only matter if you yourself are powerful enough to hurt the other dude.
One Strip! One Strip!Say that to Roshi (even though he overpwoered his opponents :V)
There really isn't a problem with Vegeta being eliminated early, except if you're a Vegeta fan, but they don't matter. Hell, if he gets eliminated it'd actually be a good use of tension for once as Goku (and Frieza) would have to pick up the slack. Oh man, Frieza would give Vegeta so much shit if he got eliminated first.
I wonder how many people understand the pun on Maji Kayo's name.

Depends on how you define "gimmicky". If you're talking about fighters who have unique abilities and aren't just generic flying bricks, we still have several of those, most notably Maji Kayo.
And a lot of people forget that Hit, from a purely power-based standpoint, is considerably weaker than Goku and Vegeta. His time skip ability just gives him that much of an advantage.

Eh. Roshi had to start training again, and seems to now be arbitrarily powerful enough to not get insta-stomped.
One Strip! One Strip! That doesn't really sound right about Hit. Like, how does his fight with Goku end in a draw even after Goku overcomes time-skip then? That's a serious question, by the way, I'm not really clear what happened there because it was before I actually committed to watching.
But, yeah, as far gimmicks mattering goes, I'd say that's only true for Universe 7, and that's purely for nostalgia/fan-service purposes. It often doesn't actually feel organic to what's actually going on.
But, again, considering how inconsistent relative strength level and comparisons are with Super, it's not like the pure power things are that interesting on their own either.

He's the fifth strongest member of the team (Goku/Frieza, Vegeta, Gohan).
No wait. 17 and 18 might be stronger now.
...you know what? I don't even know where he ranks. I'm bowing out.
One Strip! One Strip!
