Seeing your point, but would you say Goku has changed that much from that kid Bulma (almost) ran over in the forest all those years ago.
Yeah, some about his life have changed (growing older, getting married and having kids, and grandkids), finding out his an alien, becoming far stronger than he could have imagined when he was a little boy, but in terms of personality, he's still that same naive bumpkin who does as he pleases that he's always been.
Not defending Kale mind you, cause I can see people's issue with her, but still.

One Strip! One Strip!...Also on the subject of Broly not making any fucking sense is the question of how the fuck he knows Kakarot's name.
Like, even presupposing that Saiyans can remember things literally from birth which, okay, not buying that, but ignoring it for now. There is no goddamned way that they are able to not just recognize sounds, but recognize what sound applies to which object. That implies a level and a kind of symbolic and abstract thinking that even adult Saiyans don't always demonstrate, and adult Broly definitely never does.
I mean, in the filler that Toei was as responsible for as they were for Broly, Goku's pod had a prerecorded brainwashing tape and also a fake moon.
And it takes Vegeta and co a year to get to Earth and over a month or two to get to Namek, so space travel isn't instant. So I can buy that the pod could have given the mission in transit.
Why are we criticizing Blue when it's just as useless as every other Super Saiyan form ends up being?
I don't see us criticizing SSJ 1 by the time th Buu saga came around.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does. The problem is that there's been no upward movement or attempt to gain greater power outside of Kaiouken blue. I mean, Goku and Vegeta are supposed to have the power of gods, and yet here he is, unable to defeat Yandere Lesbian Broly Wank
My various fanfics.Super Saiyan 1 and 2 definitely weren't useless when they first appeared. They did their damn jobs, and they did them well.
It's all the forms since that have been a little lacking.
One Strip! One Strip!Super Saiyan Blue was mocked, in-universe, from panel one, scene one. And it didn't even defeat the bad guy.

My various fanfics. But I thought the constant spamming of new transformations was something detrimental. Didn't we praise Bo G for just sticking to basic Super Saiyan?
This just feels like it's running to a standard problem with Dragon Ball. With every new major transformation, you have to establish it's power before it's inevitably made useless. The problem is that Blue (or God for that matter) has never had it's power established, because hype for it was use to hype up Freeza.

A lazy millennial who's good at what he does. While I do not takes things to that extreme, I understand where you are coming from.
We did until they unveiled Super Saiyan God.....
"Mai waifu."We have seen Kale refer to herself as worthless multiple times. She clings to Caulifla cuz she makes her feel valued. She gets all yandere cuz her crippling self hatred makes her think she's losing Caulifla. It has all been right there.
Not that it is super deep but more so than most of you all are acting.
Really? I thought that moment was kind of irritating. Krillin was riding a hot streak with three eliminations in a row (two were assists, but still), and he only got eliminated because he got sucker punched. And she has the gall to say that his training was wasted?
That, and it's pretty hypocritical of her to berate him for that, considering she almost met the same fate at the hands of Shosa. In fact, she would have been the first one out if not for... oh, yeah, Krillin.
No beer?! But if there's no beer, then there's no beef or beans! Before she first transforms she literally calls herself worthless for not being able to do it. This time she asked Caulifla if she was a burden and that set her off. She blindly fixates on one person while transformed because she is berserk, you know what the form is called. She will probably be nothing more than a Broly shout out in the end, but they have established a bit more for her.
I don't even particularly like Kale, but there are been plenty of times scenes were called out as being shallow by the majority and yet now people are picking the most shallow view.

I think it's because a lot of people just don't care for that kind of character. So they naturally aren't particularly sympathetic towards her.
Like a lot of things, she's something somewhat new to dragon ball (mostly due to female characters not being much but support, and being rather shrewish anyway), but that doesn't mean she's gonna click with people. Honestly, she'd likely be better without all the Broly bullshit (though that'd only be a start).
One Strip! One Strip! That's my feeling. The whole Fragile Flower trope is a hard one for me to like, the fact that she also doubles as a homage to Broly of all characters makes it even worse.
Caulifla brushed her off for a couple of seconds, and she lost it. To be fair to Caulifla, she was in the middle of a fight with Goku, and there was no reason for Kale to interfere. She wanted to help for the sake of helping.
She's insecure, and has self-loathing yes, but there's no way that she hasn't felt those feelings of insecurity before....why is she only now turning into a monster?
Also, that's an incredibly petty reason to turn into a monster to begin with, although you could argue that she can't help it. But it's still hilariously petty nonetheless.
I'm going to assume her slimmed down form is when she actually gains some confidence. It's still a shame Jiren didn't eliminate her though.
