Poor Krillin though; even #18 berated him about dropping his guard despite almost suffering the same fate last episode.
At least we avoided a police brutality incident; thanks Krillin for holding back.
Spectacle-wise (as a simple birthday man), I thought the episode was fine. The off-model nature was in full force, but the fight between Goku and Kale was pretty entertaining (as mindless and frantic as Berserk!Kale herself). Universe 6 has a pretty high body count so far (and all their members intact, thanks Hit).
Hit acting as Team Dad is pretty amusing too, especially when he steps in to save Caulifla, and attempts to take on Jiren.
Also loved Caulifla and Goku's chemistry here; they truly are counterparts if they're willing to leave their students for a fight.
I guessing that Universe 6 won't suffer any losses until Hit gets taken out. From the looks of it, he's acting as their safety net.
So we need someone to suss out his powers and defeat him like Goku did.
One Strip! One Strip!Eh, it's only fair since they only started out with eight warriors.
At least I assume so, since we're three or four episodes into the tournament and we still haven't seen any indication that they have anyone aside from Botamo, Magetta, Frost, Cabba, Kale, Caulifla, Hit and that boar dude. Seriously, what's going on?
No beer?! But if there's no beer, then there's no beef or beans! It never struck me how, if Hit stays on the ball, his Time Skip could allow him to basically be the team's cavalry and save any of them if it looks like they're about to fall out. That makes him one of the most valuable fighters in the entire tournament, let alone his team.

They were hard to see, but there two additional guys silhouetted behind Hit in the group shot of the Universe 6 team during the team montage.

My Megaman and MegaTen RPG LiveblogsHe's terrible at his job...
That it counts as murder doesn't matter...
Seems more like he abuses his power...position.
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice. You guys talk about power levels a ton but I thought the whole point of DB was to prove power levels are worthless from the start? Goku was even warned many many times that there are people much much stronger than he in the other universes, so why is it so hard to believe Kaly is one of them? J Ust curious as an off and on DB fan.
Also I'd just like to remind everyone that the 4 universes not on the universal chopping block have fighters better than everyone present. Don't act like this wont be a plot point later.
The whole point of scouters was to prove that tracking power levels by numbers is worthless.
For serious.
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice. That was never the point of DB. The idea that "stronger person usually wins" has been present from the very beginning, and I'm pretty sure has always been upheld.
And as for the way, because Kale is basically a nobody who came out of nowhere with this power up, and is most likely not actually going to make it to the end, being used mainly for Broly callbacks.

I agree that the aura is cool but the appearance of the transformation itself is pretty lame.
Just regular Super Saiyan in blue hair dye. At least Super Saiyan God kinda has its own look.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."
