I actually do somewhat like all those movies (even 98 Godzilla).
I refuse to watch Evolution, and would probably just ignore it, but I had a brother who not only watched it, but tried to force me to watch it, claiming it's completely true to the spirit of Dragonball and that I was not a true fan for refusing to take a look.
Then I got bitter, because fuck that shit.
One Strip! One Strip! He also said the same thing about the Last Airbender movie.
He ain't that bad though. It's just that sometimes, our tastes in movies drift really, really far apart. He can be forceful about what he thinks I should watch, but it's also led to me becoming a fan of stuff like Suits, and other legitimately good shows.
It's just that, in this case, he was very, very wrong.
One Strip! One Strip! He don't care man. He likes what he likes.
Which I suppose, isn't a bad philosophy, but it leads to him liking dumb movies sometimes.
Then again, I'm no different.

Genuine like?
Ironic like?
Apathetic like?

Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.I've watched Evolution twice: Once on its own and once with TFS's Rifftrax. I recommend at least watching it with that since it's pretty funny.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!I try not to think about that because nothing about what Super added in regards to the lore for Otherworld makes any sense given everything else. In all honesty, the soul purifying machine from Fusion Reborn actually does make a kind of sense and I could see something like that being in canon Hell.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!So I just checked out chapter 26 of the Super manga via Youtube:
If I'll say one thing about how Toyotaro did things, it's that Zamasu splitting into doubles of himself that are still sentient is far better than becoming a formless Eldritch Abomination...because he's still sane enough to be scared shitless when Zeno shows up. The look of utter terror on his face, from the moment the little bugger pops in, right up to the moment where the King of Everything decides to nuke the entire universe is spectacular. Seeing the fear on Zamasu's face was incredibly cathartic. As opposed to his Lol! Fuck You! Universe bit in the anime. I still like Spirit Sword, and wish they'd just set it up as opposed to having him asspull it out of nowhere, but I think I like how Zamasu ultimately was beaten in this version a little better.
Also, Pilaf and company actually interact with Future Mai a bit more, including Pilaf flat out asking what happens to him and Shu in the future...and Future hinting (but not flat out saying) that something crazy happens (possibly separate from them potentially being killed by the androids or Black.
Alright. Time for The Tournament of Power bitches!
One Strip! One Strip! Not exactly. Copy Past Zamasu and the Zamasu Legion had the same plan: spread to other universes and kill all the Ningens. It's just that the former looked like it would be able to do a more bang up job of it (though the legion had the time machine from universe twelve, so they were just as capable).
It's just that Zeno has no sense of scale. It's especially notable in the manga, where destroying the entire universe seems even less necessary than in the anime (where Zamasu being everything kinda did make it more plausible as a solution). He don't like something, he gets rid of the entire thing. One bad apple does spoil the whole bunch in his book, and he'll eliminate it without much thought as to how extreme it is or isn't.
One Strip! One Strip!I can't decide if the manga's answer to Zamasu's spreading through everything was better or worse.
As ridiculous it was, at least destroying everything made sense in the anime since there was literally nothing left already (other than Zamasu himself, obviously). In the manga, they made his universal takeover less ridiculous, but the thing is that the middle finger to Trunks timeline is still there and the fact it wasn't even necessary this time around still bothers me.
So, yeah, I think the ending of this arc kind of still sucks in the manga.

The more I learn about Zeno, the more I dislike him. And he wasn't one of my favorites already with all of his "ohhh", "ahhh" and "cool" reactions because they are kind of annoying.

I thought it was all right. Not amazing but all right. I've heard people say that they like it as a movie, just not as a Godzilla movie.
