No, I do too - mostly because I thought it would been more interesting way for him to be taken out of the tournament plotwise.
That double team move with 18 and Krillin was awesome, though. Seriously, up there with some my other favorite moves from Super so far. What do we call that? I keep going back to something like Volleyball Fist: Handball Attack? Dodgeball Double Team?
If Dragon Ball FighterZ has Street Fighter Ex style Meteor Moves for certain teams, that needs to be one of them.

x5 Except they didn't "realize too late", Vados said the same thing to the other Gods of Destruction after the tournament was announced and the Grand Priest himself said Zen-Oh was already planning on erasing the 8 universes regardless.
So i don't know what you mean, because they made it clear they universes were screwed either way. But Goku suggesting the tournament at least gives one of the 8 a shot at survival.
×3 If by alright you mean adorable. The chestnut family is the best!

Plus saving his wife from elimination. Honestly, i thought the episode did right by Krillin. He may have been eliminated, but he did a lot beforehe was.

I think some, like Toppo, simply refuse to believe that Goku isn't in on it. Others just see Goku as a good outlet for their outrage. Quitela does a lot of trying to turn universes he interacts with against Universe 7, but its clear that he actually just hates everyone Beerus-related in general.
Unrelated, but it just hit me is the second time that Krillin's had a fight where the crux of strategy came down to smell and stinkiness. A dubious distinction.

It's not like they have any particular reasons to like him...
"Because of him, at least one universe will survive!"
"....Yay?"
He could've just not reminded Zeno about the tournament, as per Beerus' advice....after all, the future seems to be fine in Trunks' timeline. Even after Zamasu killed all of the Kais and Go Ds, Zeno still didn't feel compelled to nuke 8 universes.
Guess he forgot?
I mean, Trunks' timeline was not in the distant future. There's really no telling when the Omniking would have gotten around to doing his thing.
I get being upset at Goku inadvertently giving him the idea, but I find it weird how a lot of people are acting as if "destroy all the losing universes" is something that naturally accompanies having a tournament, when the tournament that Omniking liked and wanted to try basically had no stakes at all (just moving the Earth to Universe 6 or not would affect basically no one besides Beerus).

Assuming Zen-Oh was planning on it before Future Zen-Oh arrived, but it's possible that the plan to erase the 8 low ranking universes was something Zen-Oh came up with after Future Zen-Oh to the present or even something he came up with because of Future Zen-Oh.
I mean, was it said when Zen-Oh decided to do this?

He destroyed Future!Trunks universe on the basis that something like it shouldn't exist. And apparently he gave each universe its "mortal rating" personally. This is apparently something he cares about, but being fickle is his nature.
I do like how they're playing up the dissonance. Having Frost and Frieza be disgusted by it is a nice touch.

I think we may have run into another situation where the writers weren't thinking that far ahead. But then again, both of those examples are in the arc immediately preceding this one.
Is the scene where Gowasu takes Zamasu into the far future in the manga as well as the anime? Maybe it's wasn't in Toriyama's notes.
Mortal rating is interesting, because while he uses it to gauge which universes are most worthy, it's not the reason why he decided to wipe out universes in the first place. He just thinks there are too many, and that was a good way of figuring out which should go and which shouldn't.

Great episode. Love Krillin. Love 18. Love their chemistry together as a couple, always have. Only complaint is that Solar Flare x 100 didn't accomplish anything. Like, it could've at least turned the tide of a few battles between other people in its vicinity. Can't wait for Caulifla and Kale to take the spotlight next episode.
Makes you wonder why Zeno would feel that there are too many (if he even cares), or if he even comprehends what "mortal level" means.
The Grand Priest had to explain to him that the universes are in pairs, after all. How much does he understand about the universes anyway?

I would argue only one pairing in Naruto is worse than how wretchedly bad Krillen/18 is.
And I specifically referred to Shonen.
