...
I should really let it drop there (I'm not obsessively attached to that pairing myself) but now I gotta ask:
What makes this pairing worse than Sasuke / Sakura? Because d'em some mighty big shoes to fill.
I mean, is it the whole 18 is a reward for Krillin thing that Toriyama stated years ago? Cause I could get that.
One Strip! One Strip!I'm getting some sort of deja vu with that, Lightysnake. Can swear this is not the first time I've seen you come up with an unusual opinion, whose taste was deemed as very questionable by the fandom you dropped said opinion by...
Anyway, Krillin remembering Bacterian would have made this golden. And nice to see that paired universes do have the same species around, and it isn't just 6 and 7.
I guess Quitela will be gone soon, and won't be quite missed. And the Zenos cannot understand why the fighters are shocked... Empathy is something needed in those who have power, after all.
That, and it's turned 18 from a cool, badass Action Girl into an ornament because Krillen is such a nice guy he was willing to risk the existence of everyone alive because "oh, I have a crush on someone who brutalized my friends". I'm also not a fan of "Krillen deserves a reward. Here, have a woman."
I also said one of the worst for me. There are worse ones out there.
Entirely possible. Sometimes I'm in line with fandom mainstream, sometimes I'm outside of it.

That's a perfectly valid reason. You pass.
Though if this tournament is proving anything, it's that she's no less an action girl. She gotten multiple eliminations for her team already. Anyway, now that Krillin's had his time in the sun, 18 will pick up the slack in revenge I suppose.
One Strip! One Strip!I mean, I don't think she's actually changed that much. She was never that interested in fighting to begin with, and obviously still will if necessary.
The "reward" bit is troublesome, but at the same time, I don't think that reasoning has ever really showed up in their dynamic with each other.
That being said, I don't really begrudge anyone for disliking Krillin or their relationship.

That would've happened anyway...
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice. When it's to the point of "Freeza's back! Let's have 18 stay here like a good little woman to look after the kid and gush over how awesome Krillen is" I have issues. At least Bulma was never a fighter, even if she decided planetary genocide was an attractive quality in a romantic partner.
When the writer outright states he made the badass Action Girl a reward for a guy, I don't like it.

That's Toriyama being determined to keep her out of the plot (probably to create tension) and putting really dumb words in his mouth. I don't blame him for that at all, and neither should you.
Resurrection F was full of the plot finding really dumb ways to keep certain characters out, even though Frieza trained his way to being stronger than everyone who had surpassed him long ago.
Anyway, she's making up for it with this arc.

That team up move between 18 and Krillin was great. I wonder if that one came from Toei, or from Toriyama? I suppose we'll know when the manga gets there.
Damn. Krillin takes a mere second to celebrate, and then immediately gets knocked out. At least he got to look cool before hand. I don't even mind that he saved 18, because she bailed him out not too long after. And his strategy for defeating Blind Wolf dude is classic Krillin. I'm talking fart in your opponents face, throw out a dirty magazine to distract someone, tell math problems to trick them old school Krillin. Good stuff.
