It was a concept in as far as Goku doesn't get angry every time he goes Super Saiyan after unlocking it, and that's how they chose to portray the "on/off switch". Caulifla figures out how to skip past the middleman because she's a prodigy.
Tingly back feelings are a pretty silly way to portray it though, not gonna lie. Maybe it's just the translation though. It might sound better in the dub two years from now.

What bothers me about it is that there's no meaning to it. Like a lot of things in Super, it's just pointless pandering. There's no rhyme or reason to any of it. It exists simply to say that it exists. At least Goten and Trunks getting Super Saiyan at such early ages served as a bit of a joke.
It's why I was never on board with the whole Super Saiyan Pan thing. I don't want a female Super Saiyan just to say that one exists, I want to have one that adds something important to the story that's completely unrelated to their sex.

Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!@Slim: That'd be true unless she got Super Saiyan Blue and, even then, it'd probably still be true so it still wouldn't matter.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!Fandom has a thing for hating children and women.
Which, I mean. Isn't helped by the way children and women are often portrayed as annoying/negative, but. The ire still vastly outweighs any amount of negativity that could arguably be deserved.
Like, however bad Jake Lloyd's acting in The Phantom Menace might have been, it doesn't nearly deserve the level of the treatment and jokes and insults it received.
That's the principle.
I've seen some papers on the subject. Interesting stuff, sociologically.
Hell, he even basically came up with the Super Saiyan God ritual before the movie.
My various fanfics.I mean, it seemed to mostly be to help with the Xicor problem, since unlike the idea that was originally on the wikia page for AF where Xicor immediately breaks out of the Z Sword and kills Trunks, he's actually stuck in there for a while before he manages to break free, so everyone takes this time to try to both train up to some level that could manage to fight against him (which leads to Vegeta learning how to instantly swap between every single transformation he possesses) and to try and find some way to bring Goku back to get his help. Broly apparently gets brought back to help with the situation.
We also had both Pan and Bra being able to become Super Saiyans, and Goku apparently being Shenron himself now, as in order for Goku to be brought back, he needs to have the Shadow Dragons (who are their own characters now and are on friendly terms with Goku) "fuse" together into Omega Shenron, have him fuse together with Goku to reform Shenron himself, and then have Shenron be summoned into the mortal realm like usual, since Goku is currently in the Dragon Realms with Pikkon and the Shadow Dragons as sparring partners. I think we also saw an Omega Shenron-version of Porunga at some point as well.
Let's see if you can get past my Beelzemon. Mephiles, WARP SHINKA!...For the record, since it was brought up this page, for me the biggest thing about the lack of Super Saiyan Pan is the fact that Dragon Ball Heroes has given basically every Super Saiyan form to every existing Saiyan or Saiyan hybrid except her. Which makes the lack of it even in Heroes that much more jarring.

Geez, you guys post REALLY quickly.
