You don't know that.
They could have been tasty cakes.
Now we'll never get to try them.
Tasty cakes have forever been lost to us.
One Strip! One Strip! Also, I honestly do blame Goku, cause here's the thing, Zeno might have gotten to it eventually, but it wouldn't have happened within any of the present characters lifetimes. Like, seriously, even 20 years in the future and the multiverse of Future Trunks' timeline was still completely fine, barring the death of all the gods present in it; hell, it took Zeno physically seeing the end result of Zamasu's actions, before he finally decided to just erase everything from existence, and he most likely erased every single angel, including the Grand Priest, when he did so, so he obviously doesn't care about any of them in the long-run either. Really, Zeno might have been planning to erase eight universes eventually, but Goku is still guilty of both making a spectacle of the entire ordeal, and causing Zeno to attempt it within their lifetimes.

Let's see if you can get past my Beelzemon. Mephiles, WARP SHINKA!Goku is to blame for a lot of things really:
- It's his fault Bulma and Yamcha got together.
- It's his fault Roshi isn't rich.
- It's his fault Bora died the first time.
- It's his fault Krillin died the first time (take better care of your dragon ball).
- It's his fault Piccolo Jr. exists.
- It's his fault Raditz came to earth.
- It's his fault Vegeta and Nappa came to earth.
- It's his fault Frieza came to earth.
- It's his fault the androids even exist.
- it's his fault Buu got out.
- It's his fault Buu destroyed the planet.
.....wow. I can't believe I kept that up so long. I need to take a break.
One Strip! One Strip!I'm not really sure what being a "spectacle" has to do with anything. Also, so many things changed within Future Trunks' timeline who knows what would have happened. Also, 20 years is still very much with in their lifetime.
I'm not saying Goku is entirely blameless, but acting as if he suggested or had any idea that Omni-king would do this makes no sense. Going "weren't we supposed to have a tournament" or whatever does not make him responsible for Omni-king deciding "I'll just blow up the universes that lose".

To add on to that, up until this arc, Beerus kept going on about how Goku needs to prepare for this tournament only to completely 180 and have a sudden change of heart and tell Goku to forget about it. I don't really blame Goku for being curious to look for answers for why it suddenly wasn't going to happen.

Goku is in fact a little to blame.
Though then again, it was Beerus and Champa who started the whole thing with the Universe 6 vs Universe 7 tournament in the first place, so they are as much to blame.
But, Goku's refusal when people tell him not to do something is causing trouble again.
One Strip! One Strip!Well, this is the same dude who immediately turned around to look at the moon after being told not to.
Goku's brain is just wired to do the exact opposite of what everyone wants sometimes.
One Strip! One Strip! He could've just let it go, and maybe nothing would've happened. Zeno has the attention span of a child, you see.
Not saying Zeno wouldn't have destroyed the universes eventually, but he definitely holds some responsibility here.
Maybe they fix everything with the Super Dragon Balls. But that's their only hope at this point, so....
Also, is it safe to call the Grand Priest evil yet? Just saying.

The same way he's always been treated:
The scary ass child who can kill anybody if they piss him off.
One Strip! One Strip! What are you talking about?
He loves his kids so much, he's making sure they ain't erased.
...everybody else on other hand...well, he'll need to find a bigger bus if he wants to toss all of them under it.
One Strip! One Strip!Yeah, since it was announced 4 universes were exempt from the tournament (and the winner will survive) I thought my theory was unlikely.
But it could be that the Grand Priest is doing that to make things more reasonable to the Omni-king, staggering it in waves. He could have been behind the original 6 destroyed universes, then the current 7 to be destroyed, and deal with the remainder at some point as the final part of his plan.
The Grand Priest being shady and manipulating Omni-king seems a little too obvious, though. But Toriyama has gone with the obvious before, and I agree that Omni-king doesn't understand what he's doing. Even without the "Fat Boo being manipulated vibes", he obviously behaves like a child. Children can't understand the kind of consequences the Omni-king deals with. It could even be that no-one is nanipulating him, they just have no choice but to follow him.

I just realized that we're going to have to go through this 6 more times.
