It would be a severe case of Protagonist-Centered Morality if they just go "Welp that's it. Sucks to be you guys" and don't try to help them.
This song needs more love.Just when you think Super couldn't get any darker, they had to go ahead pull this stunt. What disturbs me even more is how Zen'o and the Angels are nonchalant about it.
Just when you think Goku, Vegeta and the others couldn't be anymore jerkasses...........I wonder if this s the Goku that Toriyama wanted.....

"Mai waifu."Wow, Sega wasn't kidding about the Sonic Heroes sequel being really dark. I can't wait for the reboot; The Danger Triangle mechanic was pretty alright!
At least Krillin's finally going to check up on what 18's doing.

On another note, 18 is the only other member of the U-7 team to get direct elimination (besides Frieza, but that was more indirect via scaring the crap out of his opponent).
You know, I was worried Frieza would go nuts and kill somebody, but then I remembered him torturing Nail and Vegeta and I realized he does know how to pull his punches enough to not kill someone.
So...Hooray for Torture?
One Strip! One Strip!I'm surprised by how many people are surprised this actually happened. I mean, I suppose maybe they were thinking it was going to wait until the end, but that doesn't really change anything.
Unless they were just betting on someone changing the Omni-kings minds before they actually did anything.
Regardless, I'm not sure what's shocking about their attitudes of the situation, they've been like this since the beginning, them and the angels.
I guess, but sometimes it doesn't really sink in until it slaps you in the face like it did here today.
One Strip! One Strip! You know, even ignoring that the Omni-king apparently was going to get around to just wiping out these universes to begin with, I still don't get the "It's all Goku's fault!" thing. He has no power to make Omni-king do anything nor did he suggest these (or any) stakes. Theories about the Grand Priest subtly manipulating him (or them) aside, he is completely in control of his actions, and seems to completely understand what they mean.

I was mostly joking.
Like the characters in universe, I've decided it's just easier to blame Goku.
One Strip! One Strip!Erasure of all Universal positions seems effectively permanent...
So the most likely outcome is that not every participating universe will be eliminated.
Because there's nothing more of interest to be done.
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.Meh, nobody liked Universe 9 anyway. Hell even its own inhabitants called the entire place a garbage heap.
I will say that the angel's (Mohito?) reaction is concerning. I'm not sure if that was meant to be a "Well, I did what I could" sad smile or genuine "I don't care anyway" smile.
More and more I'm convinced the Grand Priest is up to something... which, if the rest of the angels are in on it, that means Whis could potentially become an enemy... or already is.

Well, if we're going to pile on "The Grand Priest is Evil" theory, I did find this one convo
from a Super Reddit page that sounds interesting:
They take advantage of a child-like being and manipulate them into doing their dirty work. In Buu's case, Babadi and Bibidi both told him that blowing up cities and people was fun. He did not know better.
In the case of The Grand Priest, he likely takes advantage of Zeno's childlike attitude to control him and keep the other gods on a tight leash. Maybe we have something like Buu where Zeno does not know what he is doing is wrong.
After all, why were the two Zenos playing a game when they blow up planets? Zeno does not seem to be evil, so the only other answer is that he's being manipulated by Grand Priest.
Oh yeah, I forgot they briefly set up Caulifla's interest in Goku's power
during the beam clash.

I hope Goku's enjoying his tournament. Especially since he's going to be sabotaging his team.
My Megaman and MegaTen RPG Liveblogs

But that would mean we'd lose the Pride Troopers, Hit and the Universe 6 Saiyans, and there's still a lot to be mined there.
