They do have a reason: they have similar, maybe even greater potential than Gohan and they've sparred with each other from a young age using the method Goku and Gohan did to get absurdly strong.
Most of Gohan's development came from the months (not even a full year) he spent training with Goku as Super Saiyans.
If anything, the boys are rather modest for taking longer to reach a weaker point.
Man, Koyama is going to be pissed that they made Broly canon, just to genderbend him and make her to lose the new tough guy on the block.
In regards to Goten and Trunks, I can't remember Super doing anything with anything introduced during the Buu Arc beyond Ultimate Gohan and the Kais.

It's likely their personalities, they're more blatant Kid Appeal Characters than Gohan was, with brattier and more obnoxious personalities. So that, plus they're stronger than a lot of fan favorites barring Goku, Vegeta and Gohan probably just turned fans off from them.
That's certainly the perception I get. I didn't really mind them, so I never got why they were so disliked beyond living up the levels "badass" and "cool" that most Dragon Ball fans have,
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.Well Ultimate Gohan is back (whether he'll factor into anything is the question), and the entire thing with the Kais is a damn mess.
Maybe they'll surprise us and give Goten and Trunks a real arc as opposed to that Fake Vegeta garbage.
Yeah, I know. Hope is dumb. I can't help it. Sometimes, you gotta believe things will be better.
...Unless it's Fairy Tail or Naruto. Those are both shit.
One Strip! One Strip!super hell janemba is so dope, and that trailer is incredibly reminiscent of the janemba movie (definitely on purpose), which incidentally is one of my favorite dragon ball movies period.
what's with goku's outfit though? I totally dig it, but it seems out of place on goku.

"There's not a girl alive who wouldn't be happy being called cute." ~Tamamo-no-MaeIts always hilarious how the OC character that's a stand-in for the player gets their ass kicked by the supped-up canon villain & are then rescued by a supped-up canon hero in nearly all these openings.
Again funny as shit.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Vegeta become a dad well after his introduction, after he had been fleshed out a lot more from his original design - and he has never been compared to General Zod by Toriyama, who hasn't shown that much of an understanding of Superman.
Besides, we've already seen from the manga that he can be more of a dad after he's chilled out and undergone character development. Super even tries to highlight this.
They just don't have him train kid Trunks because they don't seem to want him to be stronger.
Jiren is doing the five minutes to "get lost" on the video.
The gods have some nice moves from what I see, I guess. Pennywise seem to have a trollish attack (Or maybe I simply don't understand japanese and i'm imagining things)
I hope we at least get some names for the U9 fighters before their demise.
Seriously, what is the name of that rabbit? She looks out of place with the rest of the fighters there (Everyone looks like a Darkstalkers reject, she looks odd)

To win, you need to adapt, and to adapt, you need to be able to laugh away all the restraints. Everything holding you back. It's just:
I have a hot wife.
Krillin's strategy is to draw fire away from her, thereby protecting dat ass, and then get her to beat up everyone else, thereby saving his own ass.
Truly, a genius move.
Truly the greatest things in life come from the pursuit of dat ass.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!18 and 17 is already stronger than half of Team Nerd.
Outside of Gohan and Piccolo, Team Nerd are Cannon Fodder.

As much as I love that they are getting some time to fight, Toriyama himself spent the entire series establishing that these guys are way too far behind to ever be much good in battle (for Roshi, it happened as far back as the 22nd Budokia, where he willingly stepped aside to let the younger guys rise up).
Now, not only are they trying to fit round pegs into square holes via pretending Roshi, Krillin and Tenshihan matter, but they are also doing bad job of explaining it (they just trained and grew powerful all of a sudden, as though that would matter in any way, shape or form at this point).
One Strip! One Strip!

Also, Jiren with the Akuma finisher. First Darkstalkers....
