Again, I'm not talking about the anime. I'm not even sure what point you're trying to make. I'm just saying how the new manga (Dragon Ball Minus / Jaco) doesn't contradict the original manga, but it does contradict the special and anime.

Goku even says he'll visit in the anime, to Pan. Kind of weird that GT ignored that being based on the anime.
For the IT, it took Goku nearly two years to learn it and he's supposed to be really good at that shit. It seems like it could be even harder than the Kaio-ken to master it. Also, Goku isn't the Yardrats, who he learned from. He might not be capable of teaching it as well as they can.

Plus 1 for DBZ video games!
Minus 1 for DBZ anime...
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.Don't know. We never see anyone use it after Super Saiyan 4 shows up.
I would assume no it doesn't.

One Strip! One Strip!Did anyone check out Volume 2 of the Dragon Ball Colored manga that came out on the 1st of this month??
So...
No thoughts on my Why Goku should have stopped at Super Saiyan 2 post earlier?
The later forms, despite their power, really are too much trouble to maintain. I kinda look at it as the superpowered version of how much a person can weigh before the amount of energy they can exert to move is not enough to actually move any more (in other words, being too fat) only with Power Levels instead.
One Strip! One Strip!I've already said my piece about how Super Saiyan 3 didn't accomplish anything and could have been left out of the story entirely without anything changing.
My Tumblr. Currently side-by-side liveblogging Digimon Adventure, sub vs dub.![]()
I'm pretty sure that Goku and Vegeta achieved full powered Super Saiyan 2 transformations in the Buu Arc. Because they transformed into Super Saiyan 2 like it was nothing and could maintain the form for seemingly an endless amount of time and Gohan only ever transformed into a Super Saiyan 2 once, which was at the World Martial Arts Tournament stadium in front of Kibito and he had to power up a lot to do it.
But even after becoming full powered Super Saiyan 2's they were still no match for Majin Buu... that's were Super Saiyan 3 came in... and the rest is loud history!
You really need to watch the Buu Arc again, because it's stated several times that if Super Saiyan 3 didn't exist, Majin Buu would have killed EVERYONE!!! Majin Buu already curbstomped Vegeta, Gohan, Supreme Kai, Dabura and Gotenks (base form). All of them were as strong or slightly stronger than a Super Saiyan 2. Believe me, the Buu Arc would have ended way quicker if Super Saiyan 3 didn't exist.

x4 Whoa, calm down lol. I don't think I'll buy it anymore. It's 12.99 from iTunes, so I'll stick to the 6.99 black and white ones. I hate censorship as well, so I'll dodge it.
I do agree with Fire Shadow on how SSJ 3 was completely necessary. I'm not a big Vegeta fan, but I would love to see him go SSJ 3.
I greatly apologize for my outburst. It's just... Dragon Ball is one of my all time favorite manga's and the way that is has been butchered by Viz over the years just aggravates me. It's not just the nudity, violence or toilet humor being toned down, it's also the fact that the basic dialogue, at times, is still not improved and the overall packaging of the manga is also still quite half-assed. This
review by Vegetto EX sums it up.
Vegeta did become a Super Saiyan 3. In Raging Blast 1 & 2, Dragon Ball Heroes and Dragon Ball Z: Dragon Battlers. Hell, Raging Blast 2 goes even further and states that Vegeta attained this from at some point after the defeat of Kid Buu through training. Which... sounds pretty legit.

You don't need to apologize to me lmao. Your outburst made me laugh so fucking hard and I can understand how you feel when people butcher things you love. Also, I've seen that review from Vegetto Ex.
I'm glad you understand.
The review was also pretty bittersweet, don't you think? I mean Dragon Ball in full colour looks beautiful and presentation of the text is much better. But I can't forgive the translation errors that have been prominent since 1998 and continue to be so!
And the packaging, God Lord! Just after a few reads of the manga and pages start to break and fall out! Really? *Sigh*

I honestly don't have the willpower to invest in the Dragon Ball manga these days. Viz have broken several promises and let me down on so many occasions that I think I'm just better off reading the manga online where it's uncensored, less edited and somewhat better translated. Lets hope the manga gets a proper release... some day...
@Handsome Rob
I was going to comment on this earlier, but I forgot because I do that. Now, I don't think it's right to say that he should have stopped at Super Saiyan 2, but I do think Super Saiyan 2 was the "proper" transformation, as I've said before. That was what the Cell arc was building up to. Super Saiyan 3 is going too far, but it was also necessary to go that far. Despite the crippling flaws that huge power was needed.
Aaaand if you're taking EU stuff into account Super Saiyan God is better because even after it wears off you keep the power anyway and Super Saiyan 4 has no flaws except a suggested energy drain in the Shadow Dragons arc.
Though since it's entirely possible that SSJ 4 and SSJG give the same boost in power, Super Saiyan 4 might be the overall better choice.
Let's see if you can get past my Beelzemon. Mephiles, WARP SHINKA!![]()
Maybe. It's possible that God is the best choice because if you hold onto the power afterwards, that means the energy consumption that plagues the other forms is a non issue.
That being said, from an in-story perspective, maybe it was justified, if not flawed.
I've stated my opinions about how powerful people got from an out of story perspective. To be frank, maybe they should have topped out at Cell Games power levels instead of having Buu be even stronger. There were plenty of other ways to make him a threat (his unique powers like the Candy Beam and his ridiculous level of regeneration), and there were still many ways to fight him (fusion, the Spirit Bomb, even if both are flawed).
Then again, we might not have gotten Vegetto punting a planet wrecking energy ball like it was a soccer ball, so what do I know?
One Strip! One Strip!God is obviously the best choice because it's on a completely different level of power and after it wears off you're still stronger than any of the previous forms. There's no contest there.
Also, I don't see any reason why they had to stay around Cell Games level of power. Hell, they did. The major improvements were things like Super Saiyan 3, fusion, and the Old Kaioshin's ritual. It wasn't like other arcs where their base forms levelled up immensely as well.

The whole "I can't see my family for five years" thing makes no sense, considering that he could've just teleported home and treated Uub's training like a 9 to 5 job. Or he could've 'ported home for lunch and told Chi-Chi to set an extra place. Or, I don't know, done literally anything. And come to think of it, why didn't he teach Instant Transmission to anyone else?
The very best, like no one ever was. Check out my Spider-Man fanfic here! [1]
