I was one of them but I changed a lot and I had become incredibly existienial as a Dragon Ball fan because of it.
I'm kind of surprised that in the end the tournament really did have a mad-scientist-style character in it, standing with all the cyborgs and machines from Universe 3. If it wasn't for all the subplots already flying criss cross around the ring during this tournament, I'd almost expect 17 and 18 to have some kind of plot connected to them and Universe 3 in general.
Well I'm still optimistic and excited, at least, if perhaps less so than when I started. Warts and all, and all that.
Though I've definitely found the way the show progresses and the fandom's reaction fascinating.

So... I get that DBS is going out of their way to introduce female fighters with body types that deviate from the Boobs Of Steel look most of them had before, and I respect that.
Even so, I can't say I expected to see Violet Beauregarde repping Universe 4.

No beer?! But if there's no beer, then there's no beef or beans!
Even as someone who likes Boobs Of Steel and Most Common Superpower, I also appreciate the variety in the appearance of the ladies...and that there are a large number of them as well.
It only took twenty years and all for there to be more than one or two female fighters existing at one time and all. Hopefully, all of them will have some good fights too.
One Strip! One Strip!Yup. He kinda comes off as a villain (and used to be one) so she might single him out as someone who needs to be defeated...or be surprised to discover he's a loving father who'd fight a god of destruction to defend his wife's honour.
Either way, some interesting stuff on the horizon. Now it's just a matter of execution.
One Strip! One Strip! There are 12(13 if you count Yurin) new identifiably female fighters introduced in this arc alone. Four in U2, three in U4, two in U6, one in U9, one in U10, and one in U11. Who knows how many of the aliens without Secondary Sexual Characteristics or Tertiary Sexual Characteristics are female (though my money's on none of them).
Thoughts:
- I didn't expect Foxy god to sound like a teenager, but he is still Best boy to me.
- The Pride Troopers have a really tiny member that looks like Bat-mite and that little dude stole my heart.
- Universe 3 is the best team, and if you say otherwise YOU ARE WRONG
Also, out of all universes, U4 seems the least interesting. I'm only sorta-interested now because of the wolf guy that 4chan likes, "Smug Pup".
To win, you need to adapt, and to adapt, you need to be able to laugh away all the restraints. Everything holding you back.So in the super dub, they said they were going to use the Namekian dragon balls to wish Piccolo back, rather than Earth's dragon balls.
That surprised me since they actually can use earth balls to wish him back. Did they not know that?
One Strip! One Strip!Someone on 4chan raised an interesting idea. Teamwork is needed to survive in the tournament of power. Does that necessarily have to be teamwork exclusively between teammates? Maybe temporary team alliances could be formed to beat stronger teams.
U6 and U7 team-up? I imagine U9 will definitely go that route with U4 assuming the mouse isn't up to something.

"one in U10"
U10 has a second female. Look at the red-skinned Woman on the right side of the Front here.
honestly speaking i wonder what kinda shenanigans are gonna go down so that none of the universes actually end up getting destroyed, since there's no way they're going to have something that dark happen in the "main" timeline of the series..
my guess is a new transforrmation
"There's not a girl alive who wouldn't be happy being called cute." ~Tamamo-no-MaeI wondered if they'd end up somehow moving all the inhabitants of the losing universes into the winner, but this tournament seems to actually be more about erasing the inhabitants of the universes than the universes themselves, so that probably wouldn't work as a loophole.

x5 Some people have been throwing around the idea of a universal merger of some form. However, that idea would probably create some logistic problems that I doubt either Zen'o would be in the mood to think over. Oh, and something about the Grand Priest being secretly evil... Edit: Slightly
'd!
Speaking of WMGs, I wondering if Yamcha's JPN voice actor stating he was worn out from his ludicrous amount of script reading
will still play a part in this arc.

I thought the thing with Gin was that he didn't want to fight the others because he knew the Daishinkan would make them clean up their mess afterwards.
