Though, I'm not sure how they'll explain Goku learning about Jiren then, unless Jiren's the one who comes to the meeting instead, and Toppo showing up might have been an anime-only thing to preserve the mystery more.
Isn't a monthly format supposed to be better than a weekly format, simply because you have less stress to deal with in it?

Let's see if you can get past my Beelzemon. Mephiles, WARP SHINKA!Monthly formats are better on the artist and sometimes the story.
With the monthly format you usually have around triple the length of a weekly manga so it is less work per month. With a monthly manga you can focus on telling longer stories without having to put in cliffhanger endings every 16-18 pages like weekly mangas do.
Monthly manga tends to be far more detailed as a result, compare To Love RU and To Love RU Darkness on the quality of the art.
x4 Bergamo has a name, geez. Just because his universe is in the pits at the moment, doesn't mean his name should be forgotten. He fought for the rights of the other universes against the villainous "bad father"!

I won't lie, I honestly forgot his name. My bad :V
But yea, the manga has it's advantages in that it doesn't have to come out weekly, and thus can lay things out more concretely. But it's slooooow, due to being monthly. Even if the drafts are already done for the next arc, it doesn't change that we're still stuck in the last one.
And yes, the Anime being weekly on exasperates it.

We finally get to see all of the elite Pride Troopers! Also, Universe 6's team too, though for some reason 2 of their members are silhouetted out.
Since we pretty much know that U6's 9th member is the Yardratian we saw in the NEP (unless the entire Yardrat species is actually native to another universe pairing, and the ones that taught Goku just teleported over to U7), what are the odds of the final U6 member being a Namekian vs something totally different?
Golden Frieza is similar to Super Saiyan 3, but sadly unlike SSJ 3, your eyebrows get affected.
Now that I said it, it must be canon!
To win, you need to adapt, and to adapt, you need to be able to laugh away all the restraints. Everything holding you back.So I was looking through old pages and get to after Super was announced and it's so surreal/almost heartbreaking. Everyone was so optimistic/excited...except Saiga. Compare now and the tone has changed so much...except from Saiga.
And speaking of Saiga, he made a point about how everyone, but especially Goku is too lax about this tournament and I find it interesting how the last episode kind of alluded to that.
Like, Goku gets pissed at Frieza for killing the assassins when he doesn't have to and Frieza is all like "They're all going to die if their universe gets erased anyway", to which you say he's a dick, but he's also right.
And it seems like Goku actually doesn't like hearing that but...did he not realize that? Do none of them? Like, you still can't blame them for trying to save their own universe either way, but do they not really understand the gravity of the situation? I'm kind of hoping Goku (or at least someone) seriously wrestles with that one the tournament actually starts.

Every time we think the Anime does something "wrong" and that the Manga will "fix" it, it always ends up playing out nearly the exact same way.
I highly doubt anything major is going to be changed when the manga finally gets to the Universal Survival, though it might just compress a lot of the events like it did with the Champa and Black arcs.
