Huh, that's actually an interesting note; there's barely any battle damage in the Anime. No wonder the fights feel so toned down. Guess violent standards have changed, but it makes the fight lack...impact.
That's something the Manga got right at least, Goku and Vegeta get WASHED and they show it.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.Yeah but not as much. Typical scratches but there are some large cracks & pieces missing from Vegeta's armor & Goku has a noticeable hole near his uniform. Though in comparison to previous battle worn states it doesn't look as bad.
Though fuck look at Future Trunks. I noticed the lack of battle damage when I first saw the guys state after finishing off Merged Zamasu. His cloths looks perfectly fine, just black scratches & he still has his jacket on for God's sake. At least in Goku's final battle with Kid Buu his upper Gi was obliterated only leaving his blue shirt left.
Its really lame how unhurt Future Trunks looks. Seriously the battle damaged like what Goku & Gohan received in their battles with Frieza & Cell has become iconic in their own right.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."I noticed that. Goku's clothes don't get destroyed as often. Heck, I think he still has his full shirt by the end of the Zamasu fight. Although this is the first time I've ever seen Vegeta's Saiyan armor get damaged to the point some of the fabric is missing - even in his first fight with Goku it was still mostly intact.
I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!I'm sort of surprised the lack of battle damage was apparently not so noticeable to people.
Anyway, the new trailer has me HYPE. Traditional fighters usually don't preserve enough of the DB feel to work for me (Super Dragon Ball Z is just eh) but this looks promising. I checked out Guilty Gear Xrd, and the aesthetic and style look like they could capture the DB feel well enough. The Budokai series remain my favourite style, so I'm definitely having high hopes for this. Still, I know the roster will be small - Xrd only had 25 characters after DLC and two re-releases/expansions. And with content from Super, the space just gets tighter and tighter for games like this that try to capture large parts of the series.
I'm expecting just the main antagonists of Z, the heroes and some content from Super with hopefully few repeat characters (Extreme Butoden does leave me a tad worried). Aside from that, it looks both flashy and fun, and the music in that trailer was also really cool.
With Golden Frieza making it, I'd even go so far as to say Beerus is a guarantee.
At the very least, I want a "Universe Survival" DLC pack with Caulifla, Kale, Jiren, and Ribrianne.
This song needs more love.Aside from the joke and 18 getting critical of 17 for getting Marron's name wrong, my favorite part of that scene was when the siblings were talking with each other at the start, the ONLY thing that did not change between camera changes were their faces. XD
Also note that Marron, a 9 year old, is being left alone on an island full of wild animals with two boys, 14 and 13, who are probably going through puberty real soon, if not currently......o_o
DAMMIT MARK, STOP HITTING HELPY!!Yeah that... that also kind of threw me for a loop...
I mean obviously nothing's going to happen but I suspect we're going to get some filler episodes about Goten and Trunks trying to protect Maron. They already had that one scene where Goten was playing ball with Maron and showing off.
...oh.
Now I get the "Marron" joke and why 18 flared up. I guess Krillin did mention her. :p
(1) I guess. The face at 2:04 said "annoyance" to me, but bemusement's also possible.

I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!
I don't think that's it since Maron isn't canon.
18 got annoyed because 17 was intentionally mispronouncing her name.

On 1 I'm curious about that too. There's isn't much battle damage anymore.
On 3 well motherhood can have that effect on some people. I guess you could say she just grew up or something along that line.
