"But at the end of the day, that doesn't prove that battle powers are wrong. It proves that relying on incorrect or incomplete battle powers is wrong. Because there's really never any kind of indication in the story that readings not blocked or interfered with by a character are anything but accurate. There's never even a hint that Ki can't be represented by a numerical value."
I've never heard of Mistare Fusion until today, but I like him.
This dude kinda summed up my feeling on Battle Powers.
Me too.

One Strip! One Strip!I am dancing on air. I will not lie.
We've had this discussion before, though even I'll admit that it's been said that it wasn't just Battle powers, but Frieza himself having such a high battle power that caused these problems. He was the one who caused the numbers to bloat to such a degree.
One Strip! One Strip!Using numerical values was always flawed, however they did point out how strong someone is relative to another. But it was still pretty vague overall...
As for Super; you technically don't have to watch the first two arcs if you already saw the movies. I skipped them when they first aired because it was a waste of time. That said, I recommend watching the dub if only to see the script changes as they at least make dialogue more enjoyable to listen to. '
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does. The Super dub does have some great improvisations too. Like Vegeta's "Oh sure, let's go see
Yamcha!", King Kai's "No fighting, no insulting, no Vegeta-ing of any kind!", or Goku going "Woooaaaaaaahhh-I forgot my tractor-ooooooooaaaaaahhh!
" after being "punched out of the ring" by Mr. Satan.

It should be stated that King Kai's seiyuu was 85 years old when he was voicing the character during the first few episodes, and had to be replaced due to medical reasons. Two years later, and he still hasn't come back.

Let's see if you can get past my Beelzemon. Mephiles, WARP SHINKA!Masako X weighs in on the sleeping Buu gag.
I'd actually forgotten he failed the test in the manga instead of falling asleep, but even if it's not doing the same thing, it's...kinda still the same thing. They claimed Buu would join the fight, then cut him out before that time even came. We'll see how the manga handles it soon enough, but even if they go in a different direction for how it happens, it's clear that Buu not fighting is on the agenda.
My ultimate issue is, if they are gonna cut him out, just do it. Just be straight with us about who's doing what instead of stringing us along.
Also, he forgot about how both version of Resurrection F had Buu fall asleep just before the battle to create more tension.
One Strip! One Strip!I don't get why everybody is so quick to go blame Toei as soon as something that the fans don't like happens.
I understand complaints about animation, but when something regarding the plot happens, isn't it actually Toriyama's fault? After all, he is the one in charge of writing that anime. Sometimes I feel like this fandom likes to make Toei this franchise's Dinkleberg. Face it guys, he is not perfect.

I'm at least waiting to see how things go down in the Super Manga, as I haven't ruled out Toriyama being responsible yet.
While the method of Buu's elimination in the two version of the Universe 6 Tournament were different, he still wrote that Buu didn't actually get to fight, so we can assume there's going to be something similar going down with the manga version of the Tournament of Power.
I think Toei has hurt their credibility with how they've handled some things though, so it's easy to jump down their throats.
