Really dissappointed that in the team up, Tien didn't really get to accomplish much of anything. Yeah the episode was more focused on Goku and Gohan, but Piccolo was at least able to do something meaningful in the fight
This episode, along with the one with Tien getting curb stomped by a possessed Roshi makes me really worried if Super's going to not allow Tien to do anything impressive.
Oh well. The one on one fight between Gohan and Goku was really cool

I really wish the Tournament of Power was a team-based round-robin style tournament rather than a team-based free-for-all. Then the humans (and Piccolo) could get their really awesome moments and do cool things while still contributing to the plot without having to do all of this bullshit.

Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!17 was a normal untrained teenager made stronger than a ssj. He's spent years and years training without stamina limits.
Krillin has clearly been held back by mental issues which he is past, he is also not shown to be a physical match for any of the saiyans he just catches them off guard.
Roshi at full power was easily beaten by Goku.
I really don't get the constant complaints. Yes the scaling isn't great but I don't see the point in repeating that over and over every week. If it is that much of an issue maybe move on to something else. There is so much stuff out there I dont understand keeping up with something you only have complaints about. But thats me.

That's really random. Also kind of annoying.
Yes, that's the Doylist answer. The winner would be whoever the writer wanted to win. If they couldn't win under normal circumstances, circumstances will be changed until they can win (or they'll just win anyway if the writer is shit). If the character you want to win couldn't realistically win under any circumstances, rethink your plot or change the match up.
Yes, the winner will be whoever the writer want to win but that's missing the entire point of both the question and of fiction. When consuming fiction, the writer et al is supposed to trick the consumer into thinking that the world and characters are real. The work should be engaging enough that the consumer can suspend their disbelief and become immersed in the world they're in. When someone asks "Who would win?", they don't want to know who the writer thinks should win, they want to know who would win if the two characters were real people with those powers and all else was equal. They want the Watsonian answer. It's why Death Battle is really popular since they try, to varying degrees of success, to present that answer.
At the end of the day, the Doylist answer is always going to be true for obvious reason but giving the Doylist answer is, in almost all cases, really easy, really lazy, and really unsatisfying for the consumer.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!I see Stan's point, but there's also consistency right?
I mean, if Spidey is fighting Instant Explode Your Head Man, then he really shouldn't be winning that fight.
It's up to said script writer to come up with a believable way for a character to beat another one. That means, among other things, not making one guy so ridiculously powerful that it's unrealistic for anyone to ever beat them.
And yet that asshole Frieza, who was that guy (until Goku went Super Saiyan) is coming back now.
One Strip! One Strip!
Saitama is proof as to why that's not a bad thing.
I kinda feel Saitama is an exception. He's supposed to be that way, it's part of the humour of the series, and his status as such is part of his character development (despite his power, he's massively dissatisfied).
Hell, we're all wondering if one day, someone who can actually go toe to toe with him will appear.
One Strip! One Strip! So Gowasu didn't choose anyone for his team due to being scared of fucking up again like with Zamasu, so Rumshii chooses ten men from /Fit/ in order to win the tournament.
Shit, Gowasu needs another hug: his universe is fucked.

To win, you need to adapt, and to adapt, you need to be able to laugh away all the restraints. Everything holding you back.Oh look at that, Chi-Chi made someone's "Top Anime Moms" list
Ya know, I never usually get into these powerlevel discussions, but I feel like I've been looking at the past saga differently than others. Just to make sure we're on the same page, have people been feeling this over the past 13 episodes?
- 77: Goku's bored and rusty, so he goes to train with the Gods, and then reminds Zeno of the Multiverse Tournament.
- 78: Beerus is pissed, Goku is jarred at the rules, and he gets Gohan and Buu to join him for the prelims.
- 79: Buu has fun with Basil until Satan is KO'ed, which pisses him off and makes him serious.
- 80: A rusty Gohan fights toe-to-toe with Lavender despite being poisoned AND blinded by him.
- 81: Goku stomps Bergamo despite him winning being a detriment to all universes, and Toppo gets pissed off.
- 82: Toppo's high power nearly gets Goku to use his full power before the Grand Priest stops the fight, and then explains more about the tournament.
- 83: Goku and Gohan start trying to recruit people for the tourney, starting with Vegeta by giving Bulma an angel birth for Bra.
- 84: Gohan learns about ring-outs and Goku tries to test out how Krillin would feel against god-tier opponents by using SSJ and then SSJB, recruiting him and 18.
- 85: Goku fights Skinny Buu and the Gods all shittalk Universe 7 will coming up with plans.
- 86: Goku finds 17, who's been a park ranger as well as training for the past decade after Cell's defeat, and fights him to see how strong he's gotten.
- 87: After some tuffle with alien poachers, 17 agrees to join.
- 88: Gohan and Piccolo train to gain back their prime strength and Cabba starts his recruiting.
- 89: Goku's still recruiting, Toriyama's off-hand comments about Roshi being stronger than he looks becomes canon, Cauli and Kale are two different people, and Tien is a terribly out of his league even by human standards.
- 90: Goku using Blue Kaioken again, Gohan becomes the team leader, Piccolo is getting stronk, Gowasu is disappointed by his team and Tien is piratically shitting himself in fear.
I'm gonna go on a limb & admit that while I consider that Chi-Chi isn't exactly a terrible mother, she is a terrible or at least very annoying-ass person.
If I had to choose who to hang out with for a day, Chi-Chi or Super Buu, I'd pick the latter. Sure he might most likely kill me but hey he's not Chi-Chi at least.

According to Dragon Ball Fusions, no. Goku Black and Zamasu are pure of heart.
That is disturbing.
And that's why Gowasu is the biggest woobie in the series.

To win, you need to adapt, and to adapt, you need to be able to laugh away all the restraints. Everything holding you back.Pure Is Not Good and all. It's the same reason Vegeta was able to become a Super Saiyan.
The funny thing about Gohan being the team leader is that for all his supposed smarts, I can't recall him ever coming up with a plan or strategy, or fighting smartly at all. When he's winning, it's mostly because he has an overwhelming power advantage, like against Cell or Boo or....
Wait, was Cell the first opponent Gohan actually defeated? Try as I may, I can't recall him winning any fights before that.

"So far, the only people aside from Gohan to push Goku to Blue in this arc have been 17, Toppo, and Bergamo. 17 is explicitly a wildcard in this tournament, and Bergamo and Toppo are on other teams. Seriously, why do you guys choose to ignore that the context of him going Blue against Krillin is that he's testing Krillin's resolve when fighting someone at that level, not that he actually needed it to beat him?"
Actually, Gohan didn't pushed Goku to used Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan. He demanded Goku to used his full power. Goku seemed content just using Super Saiyan 2. Bergamo also didn't pushed Goku to used Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan since he was beating him up with just Super Saiyan. He just used his full power because the Grand Priest told him not to hold back.
So the only characters up to par with Goku and Vegeta are Golden Frieza, Hit, Goku Black, Future Zamasu, Toppo, Jiren, and 17. Gohan is more iffy.
