Dropping 18 would be the worst thing ever. We already don't have any female fighters aside from her and this is the first time she's done anything in years.
That said, why revive someone who is stronger than your team leader? Why revive someone you know won't go all in on the teamwork, the whole crux of the tournament?
On a different note related to Kai, I'm still shocked that Babidi had so many henchmen. I only remembered Spopovich, Yamu, Pui Pui, Yakon, and Dabura. But the subtitles say he has 48(ish) total apparently.

Dropping 18 is an absolutely awful idea for all the reasons stated. I admit, I would have preferred to drop Roshi if they were so hell bent on doing this, but instead, they played the Buu falls asleep card again, and that really irks me. Jokes are fine and dandy, but when they become a detriment to a character in some way, that's when I get mad. Or even when they just get overdone.
One Strip! One Strip!I'd be fine with Roshi leaving the team if he's replaced by that Jackie Chun guy from the first two Tenkaichi Budokais.
Dropping 18 is a bad idea for exactly one reason: she's female. Aside from that, she doesn't really add anything to the team. No creative or unique techniques, and she's not anywhere near strong enough to justify her being here based on that alone. The only reason to keep her is that Krillin suggested they work on some combo moves.

Someone elsewhere pointed this out, that Frieza's holding the same pose as Buu on that promotional poster of the team lineup. Meaning, that once it's updated Krillin's worried expression makes a lot of sense considering that he's supposed to be standing next to Frieza and not Buu.

I agree somewhat, but I'm willing to cut them some slack given what an exausting process animation is. Like, a minute's worth of animation consists of over a thousand frames. I couldn't imagine having to draw that complex design hundreds of times over on a regular basis.

Thas not lazy...
It's completely understandable...especially for consistency's sake.
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice. Before the reveal that Freeza's on the team: This Universal Survival Arc is the greatest thing ever and revived my interest in the franchise.
After: One more faux pas, along with attempted rapist Roshi and giving Buu the shaft, and Toriyama's officially the George Lucas of anime. DX
DAMMIT MARK, STOP HITTING HELPY!!There are more reasons than that - she's part of the main cast but still under developed, she has already previously been left out of Resurrection F's spotlight moment, and her power requires a lot less handwaving than some others.
Saying she's not powerful enough to jutify including is silly, she'll be as powerful as Super wants her to be and it definitely seems that Super still wants her to be stronger than Kuririn with her easily deflecting a SSB Kamehameha.
People are used to the tamer Turtle Hermit from recent times...
Ramping it up had a negative reaction?

I don't think that Beerus will threaten Frieza. Something tells me that he thinks that being erased from existence is preferable to the cocoon. I think that they will offer to get Frieza out of it.
This song needs more love.
