Fandom complains that Dragonball has become the "Goku and Vegeta Show" and nobody else matters.
Show goes out of its way to put some focus on other characters, and make them relevant again.
Fandom complains that these characters should not be relevant.
Like Saiga said, it's weird to assume it's the same fans complaining about both those things.
But as far as I go, I wouldn't particularly mind if they became relevant again, so long as it was actually handled well, and for the most part it doesn't seem to be.
I don't really get the "I don't care how it's done as long as it's done" people, that seems like that would take a lot of the satisfaction out of seeing these characters used again if the show is tactically admitting that it can't do so in a way that is logically consistent with itself that isn't just pandering.

Damn. You got me there. Honestly though, I feel like I just gotta take what satisfaction I can.
It is a shame they didn't bother with some of the known methods: Kaioken, The Room of Time and Spirit / Hyperbolic Time Chamber, Old Kai's unlock potential etc.
Perhaps they just didn't feel these methods were good enough.
I just want to know who I should be blaming for this: Toei or Toriyama. I mean, it'll probably be Toei's fault, but I don't want to commit too soon and all. Gotta be fair about this and give everyone the benefit of the doubt.

I dunno, pretty sure that the DB fandom has enough people to have opposite opinions and be equally vocal about it. I've seen enough posts of guys that are self-declared Tenshinhan, Crili and etc. fans that are happy about them being back on the stage, even if some of them don't enjoy much the way they were put there.
@Rob I didn't change my mind. I never said that, for example, Kuririn could be relevant ny fighting someone in Vegeta's place. He'd have to fight someone when Vegeta wasn't able to be there or participate for some reason.
Kind of like how Resurrection F had Goku/Vegeta far off planet for a good chunk of it. If Freeza's forces had arrived in several different parts of the world, and the heroes were already spread out, it would be easier to justify the human's being important. Unlike the actual RF where everyone was fighting but it was even pointed out Gohan could wipe out the entire army in an instant. That's not very meaningful screentime for the heroes.
It could just be that people don't like how it was done. As much as I like Krillin, him being able to even for a moment push back a Kamehameha from Goku's strongest form is pretty silly, even if Goku was holding back.
I recall similar complaints about the Ultra Divine Water in Dragon Ball.

I can get that. Come to think of it, I think it might have been Tobias who said that, but I could still be wrong.
Yeah, I appreciate the effort, but execution is important as well.
One Strip! One Strip!I am mostly this however I I also realize that apart of me is intrigued at how the characters can get stronger even if the cannot match with the Saiyans. I just wished that Super handled the characters getting stronger much more organically rather than just giving them power ups out of nowhere.

"Mai waifu."Yeah it's not like Dragonball Z didn't have a bunch of contrived reasons for huge jumps in power, but there was always some effort put into them to make them feel special so we'd be able to buy it, not just "they did a gazillion push-ups off screen" like Super is doing.
And wow, it really is something else to see how quickly Supreme Kai was defanged. Went from making Piccolo sweat to getting super panicked over Babidi's chumps in record time.
Spoiler scans for future episode titles are out and yeah, I don't think many people will be happy to find out that...
Majin Buu will be taken out of the team and will be replaced by Frieza, and for the flimsiest of reasons — Buu went to sleep, and won't wake up for 2 months.

In 4 years Pan is going to curb stomp Goten so that might be the case. Likely Chi Chi's doing either way.
