Huh that depresses me a little.
Saying that Goku isn't being Goku by hugging his own son. Seriously how is that out of character for him, didn't Goku hug Gohan near the end of the Buu Saga before the latter went off to fight Super Buu? Is he incapable of giving hugs?

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Some observations:
1. Remember when Shin was all smug and not cute and incompetent?
2. Where are the furry people? Did Cell kill them all?
3. I can see Team Four Star making 18 and Vegeta a comedic duo in the Buu saga.
Also, Goku not hugging his son is mean bro. Is Vegeta level of mean!

To win, you need to adapt, and to adapt, you need to be able to laugh away all the restraints. Everything holding you back.I say yes, heck, Goku may not kiss his wife, but at least he hugs her and Gohan! or are you trying to imply the only person he ever hugged was Grandpa Gohan and Krillin?

To win, you need to adapt, and to adapt, you need to be able to laugh away all the restraints. Everything holding you back.A son meeting his father for the first time would invoke some kind of heartwarming...
It kind of makes sense, since in that scene Karrot is re-uniting with friends and family and it tops of with meeting and hugging new son: Gotendo.
The way the scene plays out is questions...
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice. It's just random...
Too sappy for DBZ...
Negative...

Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.Tomodachi, 16 does mention the birds in the manga. He doesn't interact with them directly, but he is watching them while the other Androids are fighting. It's not Informed Attribute, the scene is just slightly different because the focus isn't on him.
Vegeta leaving Earth and returning doesn't fix any flaw - at the end of the Namek arc, his last suit of armour is damaged. It makes sense that he'd switch to regular clothes, especially since he was not expecting Freeza to show up. You think he'd wear the same damaged suit of armour 24/7 otherwise?
Goku also does hug Goten in the manga - when he's leaving for other world. And it makes more sense in the manga version that Goten is so shy during this scene because unlike the anime version he hasn't hugged Goku before. It's more meaningful than them hugging when they first meet and don't know each other at all.

Well, on the scene with Veggie...
It didn't really mean anything that he left, he came back with the same damaged suit of armor.
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.Yeah I thought the anime improved & expanded upon stuff.
The only fuck up that comes to mind in the anime is that when Gohan hugged his father before going off to face Super Buu, Goku didn't return it unlike in the manga where he did return the hug.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."

Well, it was cute, you know?
Also, is interesting to notice Bardock appeared in a panel in the manga (Thanks to the movie, yes), but knowing Dragon Ball Minus, it appears Manga! Bardock was pretty heroic to being with.
Frieza was as great as I remember, the fights with him were pretty enjoyable, and I love how he was so unstoppable. I also enjoyed his personality along his henchmen (though we hardly knew Guldo, but whatever)
And Vegeta and 18 being so annoyed during Goku visit is funny for some reason.
