At least an Android doesn't grow weaker due to lack of exercise. Krillen learned that the hard way or at least more shamefully.
Also I think Gohan needs some new glasses. I mean I don't know I think they went to far with the whole nerd look. At least get black rimmed Clark Kent glasses cause that is the classy nerd look. Those never go out of style.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."It occurs to me that with the Great Saiyaman, Super-Cop and Cyborg Captain Planet on the case, the Earth basically has a bunch of superheroes running around. Naturally, none of them are Goku, but he does occasionally show up to try and beat them up every once in a while.

In the film Krillin basically guessed that Freeza wouldn't be an actual threat, and said someone would have to stay behind to look after Marron. Not that Krillin thought he could take out Freeza, but he was sure Goku could. At the time nobody knew about Freeza's astronomical jump in power.
Still kind of bullshit, but makes a bit more sense than the series, where Krillin actually was scared of Freeza's goons.
Anyway, as to the episode:
Those are some seriously well-equipped poachers 17 was fighting.
Curious non-reaction to the possibility of getting erased. Even if he doesn't value his own life that much, you'd think he'd want his family to survive at the least. Also damn you writers, I wanted to see what his family looked like!

....um, he actually does tell 18 that someone needs to take care of Marron, hell he tells her that right before he asks her to shave his head for him, cause he wanted to go "old school". Actually, he doesn't even mention dinner at all.
Let's see if you can get past my Beelzemon. Mephiles, WARP SHINKA!So, how strong is 17 now? He fought Goku in Super Saiyan Blue pretty evenly, though it was later established that both of them were still holding back (whether Goku's holding back was referring to Kaio-Ken or not is ambiguous). Either way, 17 is pretty clearly one of the strongest fighters on Team U7. Interestingly enough, 17's method of getting this strong went unmentioned in the episode.
Can't remember if it's Super or RF but he definitely asks her to prepare dinner for him in one of them.
The Marron thing is pure bullcrap, they already explained it better in the BOG arc of Super that it makes more sense for 18 to fight and for him to hang back. Any threat that could require 18 to defend Marron would slaughter Kuririn, any threat that could get past 18 would just go on to kill Marron. She should be the first line of defense.
Same strength as everyone in Super. Strong as They Need to Be.

17 is as strong as the plot needs him to be, because Super does not give a single shit about power levels. It operates on the rule of "Hey, this'd be cool, right?"
My various fanfics.

Personally, I like that there's an environmental aesop in the episode that's actually really subtle instead of right in your face, presented here as merely casual conversation that is brought up instead of taking the focus away from what Goku's doing.
Though the alien poachers shown at the end of the episode and the preview are clearly a Diablos Ex Machina that's meant to be the catalyst that gets 17 recruited, making the green aesop more overt.
DAMMIT MARK, STOP HITTING HELPY!!
