Depends.
If the person has no idea how much it costs, they might not pay much unless they think it looks very pretty.
If they do know what it is, they'd be willing to pay a lot for it...if they don't just kill you.
That being said, you shouldn't be selling a dragon ball. A single one is worth far more than money.
One Strip! One Strip!Considering that the Dragonballs are each one-of-a-kind gemstones that are part of a set and are naturally formed, as far as anyone knows, or outright proof of the existence of a deity if people know that much...
Even without knowledge of the wish, you can bet that a 'one of a kind' gemstone would go for a lot.
Red Diamond goes for like a million USD a carat, according to forbes.
I would not be surprised if each individual Dragon Ball went for over a hundred million USD, and they would be literally priceless if anyone knew that gathering all 7 of them gets you a nigh-unlimited Wish.

A single Dragon Ball, if you don't have the means to gather the rest, and you don't because nobody in the real world has the means to gather the seven Dragon Balls, is actually worthless as anything other than a pretty gemstone.
Unless you really want to have a pretty gemstone, sell the hell out of it.

himitsu keisatsu seifu chokuzoku kokka hoanbu na no da himitsu keisatsu yami ni magireru supai katsudou torishimariI'm, like, super inured to violence, so the Videl vs. Spopa-poppa-soda-pop-a-vich fight never really bugged or disturbed me personally.
I don't think there's anything necessarily sexist about the fight in a vacuum removed of all other context, but given the rest of the series' track record with women and the condescending "he isn't going easy on her even though she's a woman" line, I can't help but be at least a little suspicious of the authorial intent. Especially since as a character, Videl amounts to nothing more than arm candy for Gohan.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!![]()

That's why you sell seven spherical rocks and say that they'll reactivate in a year. By the time they notice, you'll have already fled the country.

This song needs more love.I don't think Toriyama intended anything sexist.
Especially when you consider that she received no different treatment than a male in the same situation. The fun thing is, if Videl was a man, nobody would have any problem with it.
himitsu keisatsu seifu chokuzoku kokka hoanbu na no da himitsu keisatsu yami ni magireru supai katsudou torishimariAdmittedly, not intending for something to come off as certain way, and it actually not coming off that way are different things.
But besides that line from Gohan there really is nothing out of the ordinary. Videl not catching up isn't that bad when you realize it just means she's in the exact same boat as almost all the other characters, male or female. And even that line from Gohan be waved as him just saying something stupid because he's pissed, and, again, that's the kind of thing most people are socialized to believe. It doesn't necessarily mean Toriyama agrees with it, at least in the context of his work.
Not to say I still don't get reading Unfortunate Implications from it, but for the most part I can't really agree.
Maybe in the real world, but not here, which is really all that matters.

People might just be bothered that Spopovich doesn't really get comeuppance for his actions against Videl. Sure, he's killed, but that's in an You Have Outlived Your Usefulness kind of way.
Also, in hindsight, Gero and Babidi are really similar.
Yeah, but they're both people introduced as possessing dangerous power, only to wind up being completely ineffectual to the members of the cast they're up against, wind up hiding behind their stronger henchmen, get beaten up by Piccolo, and then are ultimately killed by their trump card (or penultimate trump card in Gero's case) against the heroes.

How much do you think a Dragon Ball would go for?
