You usually have more to say about Masako's videos.

Basically, I can kinda see it as possible, and I can kinda see it as looking a bit too deeply.

Either one is viable.

So watching Super on Toonami, they're still having Beerus threaten to destroy the Earth but he just comes off as a lot more villainous about it. I suppose hearing him flat out say billions of lives are insignificant to him makes a difference, even though that was always clearly the implication.

Not to say it doesn't work, because it does and the voice actor nails it, but they're just homing in the "evil/callous" so much it's going to make him being basically harmless and goofy again later a bit weirder.

I could have sworn I said something about Zeno being an audience surrogate here before.

Or, at least, the Universe Survival Arc erasing weak characters from existence sounded like something the more extreme fans would be on board with.

[up][up]I thought Beerus's line about "Billions of lives are my playthings" was in the sub too?

[up]I'm not saying it wasn't. I'm contrasting Super!Beerus to Movie!Beerus like everyone else has.

Yea, the "Zeno is the Dragon Ball audience" was not lost on a lot of people.

Beerus must be confused to suddenly be a dog.

I just thought a question: How come Goku or anyone has never entertained the idea of him opening a martial arts school & teaching people?

Sure he prolly won't find someone to give him a good fight but it be fun to follow in Master Roshi's footsteps & beneficial to teach Ki to a wider audience. Especially if he's successful as he could wind up with a lot of possibly paying students that also get Chi-chi off his ass.

Because everyone Goku knows is aware of what he actually likes.

Goku just wants to fight strong people. He doesn't care about training them.

Hell, none of them do. They only train people who come to them. Roshi lives on an island by himself where few know where to find him (though Krillin found a way).

They are a bunch of loners and hermits who only get along with each other in the end.

He needed to train Gohan to prepare for the Androids and Cell. Hell, he needed to train Gohan so he could have a good sparring partner during their later training.

He trained Uub so he could fight him at full power (since that's the reason he wished Pure Buu back in the first place).

Hermits and assholes. All of them.

I thought with Uub it was also to leave the Earth's safety to a worthy figure, not just fight him.

Wasn't that the point the other Troper aas making, though? If he trained people, he'd have more strong partners to fight.

He actually wouldn't. Because at most, an human trained in their Martial arts might reach Krillin's level, and that would still be centuries behind Goku.

It's more, that if he trained people, then maybe there would be more people (better people to protect Earth).

Though that's also flawed since the guys who'd show up would be league above human as per usual.

I thought with Uub it was also to leave the Earth's safety to a worthy figure, not just right him.

That may or may not be something the dub came up with. It definitely plays up Goku's protective side a lot more.

Well, if he wanted more strong people that could potentially reach his level, why hasn't he wished Raditz and Nappa back yet?

Considering Vegeta that's no longer a reason not to summon them back.

That logic doesn't really follow. That one evil person happened to become "not evil" doesn't guarantee that everyone else who is evil will. Frieza's an easy example of that to point towards, and if you're going with potential Frieza makes a lot more sense, as the whole Golden Frieza arc/movie shows.

Edit: But really, it's probably because no one thinks about them at all.
