But that's not something that makes even the slightest bit of sense. Why would Goku remind him of blowing up the universes? What Goku wants is a better fight, why would he remind Zenou about blowing up the universes after it's gotten him the fight he wanted?
himitsu keisatsu seifu chokuzoku kokka hoanbu na no da himitsu keisatsu yami ni magireru supai katsudou torishimariSo I watching the Super Dub via my brother (who's been waiting until said dub to watch), and we just finished episode 9.
Oh man, Shenron freaking out at Beerus is hilarious in this version. I gotta say, they've really been on point. I guess when you've done the characters as long as these guys have, you sorta perfect it after a while.
One Strip! One Strip! Those comments from Toriyama that Mad Skillz posted made me wonder about something; we've all heard about the dub "turning Goku into Superman" but I doubt he was specifically complaining about the English dub, so how did the anime, in general, "righteous up" Goku?

Good question.
Also, I've been thinking about things.
1) According to the Fridge Brilliance page for Dragonball, Toriyama was apparently directly involved with the creation of the anime's filler. Now, we do know he suggested the Yamcha baseball thing, and he's dealt with character designs for anime only character as well. I'm wondering if he had more of a hand in some of the filler that we all so easily treat as non canon then we realize.
Now I sit and wait to be told that no, it's just filler and my theory is stupid.
2) Second, I just had some massive Fridge Brilliance about the Red Ribbon Army arc as a whole. It's state (I think by Bulma, but I don't fully re-call so if someone can remember, I"d appreciate it) that the World Government was completely helpless against them. They already have soldiers and bases all around the world, incredibly powerful weapons like Sergeant Metallic (thanks Gero!) and strong fighters either work for them (Blue and his crazy psychic powers) or can be hired by them (Tao, and I bet Tenshihan / Tien would have reached that point if things had been different).
So basically, Red Ribbon rules, everyone else drools...which is when you have to ask ''why do they even need the Dragonballs? From the sounds of things, they already rule the world. And that's it: the very nature of the army was a massive clue to Red's real wish. It was right there staring us in the face the whole time, and we didn't see it.

One Strip! One Strip!"righteous up Goku"
Literally the only version of this that I could find on Youtube.
I mean, yeah.
But Raditz still would've shown up and wiped them out. Heck, Pilaf would have released King Piccolo and led to the army's destruction. I kind of wish there was some fancomic out there that depicted the Red Ribbon Army waging war against Piccolo and his sons.

I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!Rob, there's a difference between being in a position from which you could in theory conquer the world, and actually running the world.
Presumably, a wish that makes you the ruler of the world would prevent you from lossing massive numbers of soldiers and thus not having enough soldiers to actually enforce your rule.
himitsu keisatsu seifu chokuzoku kokka hoanbu na no da himitsu keisatsu yami ni magireru supai katsudou torishimariI thought Goku was supposed to be Lawful Good. :S
Come on! Let's bless them all until we get fershnickered!GT
I forgot this
scene even happened. So why do people not like GT Pan again cause... this was cool.
And what the hell is wrong with Pan's date? If my date turned out to have superhuman strength I'd be... utterly terrified and probably run away the first chance I got. But a week later I'd probably be kicking myself for it.
Super
Bulma
being determined to beat Beerus to the Super Dragon Balls is just... precious.

I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!That scene is one of the reasons why people don't exactly like, and sometimes don't even tolerate Pan, starting with the fact that what she did should have been impossible, since she was moving faster than Goku and throwing him around like a ragdoll when she should've been literally incapable of making him even budge slightly.
himitsu keisatsu seifu chokuzoku kokka hoanbu na no da himitsu keisatsu yami ni magireru supai katsudou torishimariTo be fair to Bergamo, Goku is showing a severe lack of foresight and isn't taking the situation seriously. He's not helping his case.
I feel Gowasu should have a say in all this. He's had his share of mistakes with Zamasu. An entire timeline, 12 whole universes, went up in smoke because he was a Horrible Judge of Character with Zamasu. He has known Goku and what he can do, I feel he should speak up about how he feels or try to confront him about all this.
Karrot is neutral good good...
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.Goku is being a horrible team player here. He is literally pissing everyone off & they made it clear that there all gunning for him. Normally that wouldn't be an issue as he likes the challenge but the final tournament is a battle royale meaning its a team effort.
Goku just made winning even harder than it has to be. Especially cause everyone else is not gonna be fighting for the fun of it, but for survival and to save their friends and family. Especially Vegeta who has a child on the way. This is not the situation where you want to be facing an onslaught of 70 enraged powerful warriors.
I hope someone tells Goku off for this
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."

And then Goku will remind him, because he's an idiot. That's not supposed to be good or bad, it just seems like something Super would have him do.
