You mean Gine?
Well then its because she's adorable. I always believed Goku's mom was just an ordinary Saiyan, a ferocious savage battle-monger & that she didn't have much of a relationship with Bardock aside from producing Goku. Like they were apart of a breeding program & after producing Goku they went there separate ways or things went by as normal with no romantic attachments.
I thought of her as a warrior & a space pirate like the rest of em. I thought of her like Vegeta, Nappa, Raditz or Bardock, in short I thought of her as a "Saiyan" not there Goddamn white-sheep. Not as some reject who is apparently one of the few kind-hearted Saiyans alive who works as fucking meat processor cause she couldn't cut it out on the battlefield cause of an aversion to violence & is actually making Bardock softer.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Not sure I like that about Gine, to be honest. Nothing gave any indication that Raditz was a good person, even though he would've been raised by Gine. And Bardock certainly wasn't a good person in Bardock, the Father of Goku. He destroys other races for a living and the climax of the film is him trying to keep his own race from being destroyed and failing. He's not a hero; he just happens to be in opposition to one of the big DBZ villains.
Unfortunately, most mediums nowadays tend to forget that, so now we have Dindu Nuffin Bardock, the Super Saiyan hero. Also, he somehow lost that future sight ability of his.
I mean, Bardock and Raditz weren't "good" people, but they at least had concepts of bonds with squadmates and family.
Like, Raditz was only there because he wanted his baby brother.
He wanted his baby brother to kill a bunch of people so he could have job experience to make it in the rough galaxy.
He seemingly expected Vegeta and Nappa to avenge him, and Nappa was going to wish to bring him back.
Another long video from Masako, this time on Gohan and his character:
I think they cover a lot of stuff that we've mentioned before.
One thing they hit upon is Toriyama's by the seat of his pants style. I think, when it comes to what he did with Gohan, it definitely worked against him. With a little time to think about things ahead of time, he could have realized sooner that he didn't think Gohan was right for the role of hero, instead of building him up and then just tossing him out.
One thing we can say about Super is that, since there's an actual long term outline of what's going to happen (as opposed to Toriyama just doing what he feels like at the moment) there can be better build up towards things. We won't see any last second shifts like during the Cell Saga with the changing villains, or the Buu Saga with it's changing hero.
But anyway, check out the video yourselves and see what you think.
One Strip! One Strip!Remember when I mentioned that one crack ship involving Beerus? BOO-YAH!! XD

Except it was already canon that not all Saiyans were savages. Besides, considering how much Saiyans love their meat, you can't say the job she did have wasn't important. It's also logical that not every Saiyan would be a warrior and that some would have a support role.
As for Raditz, he was a child when he was last with his mother, but spent most of his life serving Freeza.
Even then, he seemed to have put more stock in his relationship with Nappa and Vegeta than they did to him, so clearly a little bit of her did rub off.

Raditz only tried to kill him after Goku rejected his offer to join him.

Raditz had a very Category Traitor view on his brother. Rather ironic that, in part due to him, Goku would take down the tyrant who destroyed the Saiyans and become one of the strongest beings in the universe, let alone the Saiyans. Doubly ironic that if Goku had remembered his mission from the start Master Roshi would've probably dealt with him
How so? I mean, there was Tarble, but Toriyama now seems to be trying hard to forget him (well ok, there's no evidence he wasn't just a Toei creation from the get go). Pretty much everything everyone said about Saiyans (other saiyans included) is that they liked fighting and being assholes every chance they got, and that the only reason Goku was different was due to having a head butting contest with a rock.
One Strip! One Strip!Goku is Not So Different.
Saiyans not being assholes per se was a thing - they're just a race of Blood Knight-types.
himitsu keisatsu seifu chokuzoku kokka hoanbu na no da himitsu keisatsu yami ni magireru supai katsudou torishimariWell then I just don't like her in general.
I mean honestly now that I think about it she's a very inconsequential character. Minus was less then 15 pages she didn't really have a lot of screen time but still there's not much too her either way. All she is, is just to show who Goku's mom was & yes Bardock was happily married or whatever is the Saiyan equivalent to it.
That's literally the only reason to bother to remember her, that she was Goku's mom, nothing more, nothing less.
