Random post: Something Masako brought up about Saiyan tails:
The fact that Toriyama was apparently forced to give Goku his tail in the early going and his dislike of drawing them due to getting bogged down in the mechanics of how Goku put on pants while he had it kinda explains why he just got rid of them.
I still personally feel there was still more to explore with tails, especially now that we have Saiyans from other universes. Hell, there are lots of things he could have done, like maybe having differences between a Super Saiyan with a tail and a Super Saiyan without one, and other stuff.
But, as I continually have to remind myself, it's his story, not mine. Considering how some other manga have been treated, maybe it's better that Toriyama did things the way he did. Dragon ball might not have gotten as far as it did if he'd gone about things differently.

One Strip! One Strip!I'm grateful for Toriyama's former editor who saved us all from a bleak world where Androids 19 and 20 were main villains. I'm less grateful for his then-current editor who mistakenly thought that Imperfect Cell had a bad design.
Also, Toriyama once said that his editor during the Buu saga was much less strict than his previous editors. When I first heard that, I just knew that it explained so much. About how that saga had fun ideas, but was rather ADHD with them.
De Romanīs, lingua Latina gloriosa non fuī.Well editors are a double edged sword.
They can ruin a good idea, or convince an artist to come up with something better depending on which way the wind blows.
One Strip! One Strip!
Or decide ANY idea by the author is a good idea, even if said is terrible. Thankfully that scenario is very rare.
Also, the Dangerous Trio are the new Gummi Bears. XD
DAMMIT MARK, STOP HITTING HELPY!!Editors are good so long as they're doing their actual job and not trying to usurp the writer's. Generally, you see a lot of the latter in the worst comic books. Marvel had some of the worst problems with Editors in high places.
himitsu keisatsu seifu chokuzoku kokka hoanbu na no da himitsu keisatsu yami ni magireru supai katsudou torishimariDon't forget that time when the marketing department was in charge. That gave us the Clone Saga.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!So I caught the ep.
Fuck yeah Buu! Glad he didn't sleep through this one.
Next week is Gohan. I suspect someone will lose in order to create some tension for Goku's fight, but it's a shame if it's Gohan. Hopefully, even if he does go down here, he gets a chance to wreck some shit in the tournament proper later.
One Strip! One Strip!I really liked this fight. The emphasis on rules not being as important as Zen-Oh's enjoyment of the fights really served to show what a shit-show this tournament is, and how it solely exists to entertain Zen-Oh (and Goku). Buu ending the fight with a Kamehameha was awesome.

This is true.
Consider Goku and Piccolo's fight at the 23rd Budokai. Despite all the shit that went down, Goku insisted they continue to follow the rules, and even when he won, he knocked Piccolo out of what was left of the ring.
During the Cell Games, the rules were only abandoned when Cell decided they were in the way of his ultimate goal of getting a good fight.
And the Universe 6 vs 7 tournament had Vegeta avoid elimination by stepping on some debris that were part of the ring, meaning he was technically not touching the ground.
The rules have been a staple of all tournaments in some way or another, so it says a lot about this one that they are being just completely tossed out in favour of (as Limit X Break Survivor puts it) blowing Zen-O Sama away.
Though ultimately, just knocking out an opponent is a satisfying way to abide by what few rules the Tournament of Power has.

One Strip! One Strip!Well Hits not gonna hold back at the very least anymore.
Though damn there are gonna be casualties alright. This pretty much means everyone can be as hyper lethal as they want so long as Zeno allows it. I wonder if the little guys get grossed out if they see too much gore.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."...
So, will we finally see Krillin kill someone with the Kienzan / Destructo Disk?
One Strip! One Strip!

Also, Toppo is the hooded guy.
