We'll see.
Again, we'll see. Goku worries me sometimes, but it would be interesting to see more situations where his lapses in poor judgement don't turn out to be good ideas in spite of themselves anyway.
One Strip! One Strip!Has Goku gotten worse then? Cause a lot of people say that while he did have issues they weren't this prevalent in Z but not he's gotten worse in Super now.
Also your opinion may vary but that Universe 2 Goddess to me looks pretty ugly to me. Her lips & eye makeup just looks off.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."I think Toriyama is pushing his vision of Goku as being somewhat selfish harder.
Combined with the anime's rather explicit Flanderization of his other traits, it does seem like he's getting worse.
That being said, Goku did come up with a rather plausible theory for the connection between Black and Zamasu (he was wrong, but still everyone else thought it made sense at the time), so it's not like he's completely empty headed.
Still, it's getting worrisome.
One Strip! One Strip!
I think that back during the Z saga, Goku either had to deal with back-to-back planet ending crisises, or spent all his time training away from Earth. Super is the first time where we actually truly see him having actual downtime from training and interacting with people on a regular basis again. A combination of natural boredom and his Saiyan instincts starting to kick him without him realizing it is probably the cause of his seemingly increased selfish and relapsing immaturity.
If those are the names of the Go Ds, imagine the name of their angels.
I don't know what is the name of Shaggy, the angel of Universe 9, but he sure does look drunk or high as fuck.
Also, one of the Go Ds look like that inmortal fish woman from Spongebob.
"I remember when Zarama created the wish orbs. Sweet, sweet wish orbs. I always hate it!"
Captain Lmao is a Superhero! This is the closest we'll ever get Goku vs Superman!

To win, you need to adapt, and to adapt, you need to be able to laugh away all the restraints. Everything holding you back.I wouldn't be surprised of Goku's plan to fix things was to win and use the Super Dragonballs to wish all the universes back, and that he'll bring this up to the others only for them to still chide him on how irresponsible a solution that still is to fall back on.
On that note, I wonder if at the end of the tournament they'll lose, but the big victory will be moral - in that they convince their opponent to make the wish instead of something else they want.
How did this all come about exactly? Did Goku specifically ask for a multiversal tournament or did he just mention the idea around Omni King(s) and he went for it. And then they just came up with destroying the universes because why not.
Speaking of which, it's a bit weird for them to be so cavalier about that. Keep destroying universes and they'll have nothing to be king of.
While he didn't tell Zeno to destroy planets as a punishment Goku is still partly responsible for the mess for reminding Zeno to hold the tournament despite the warnings from Beerus & Whis who were actually serious & told him "Dude don't do this, Zeno is genuinely dangerous so it can only end badly for everyone".
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Well, since Zenou was set up as being basically the highest tier of power there is, and we can't have a downer ending in Dragon Ball because of reasons, it's the only logical solution. Plus, they won't have Goku just be the bad guy, no matter how much of a fun change that'd be.
himitsu keisatsu seifu chokuzoku kokka hoanbu na no da himitsu keisatsu yami ni magireru supai katsudou torishimariWhat I really wish to happen is Defeat Means Friendship to be averted at the end of the arc. Averted hard. As in, a majority of the other universe fighters continuing to absolutely hate Goku's guts and be very vocal about it.

DAMMIT MARK, STOP HITTING HELPY!!Hasn't you seen fiction before...no matter how difficult it is to reach a place initially, once a character reaches that place they pretty much can go to and fro with ease. Which means free contact with the characters from those places.
Of course this isn't always the case, but a lot of the time it is.

Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.True enough, I guess. Their hatred for Kakarrot will put on the bus indefinitely.
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice. It'd actually be really interesting if the next arc after this one was someone from another universe out for revenge against Goku for putting them in danger. If this arc is as intent of putting emphasis on Goku's flaws and mistakes as it seems, it would make sense for it to resonate in later stories.
On the other hand, that's basically what Zamasu did (except he did it for entirely petty reasons). But then, that doesn't mean Toriyama and company couldn't still make a unique story out of it.
