Mai an exceptional beast...
An exception to many examples...but it counts still.
Even though, people may want to call out how she survived the god power.

Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.Well yeah.
Like I said, Bulma and Satan seem to be the two most important humans (with Bulma still being a main character to some extent).
One Strip! One Strip!Humans were irrelevant in Dragon Ball since Piccolo Daimao saga, so blaming that on Freeza is silly.
He does makes some good points tho. Yeah, the power up in Freeza saga were arbitrary and absurdly big, and there was no need to make Freeza thousand times stronger than Captain Ginyu, it doesn't actually adds anything to the story.
And yeah, everything he said about Resurrection of F is spot on, the whole thing was stupid.
Blooma's a "main character" (technically), it's only natural she should do something.
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice. The Dragon Ball fanbase seems to be worse than most in saying that every character who isn't the strongest fighter in the cast is useless. Hell, sometimes, even when a character IS the strongest, they don't care so long as that character isn't the one who kills the bad guy.
himitsu keisatsu seifu chokuzoku kokka hoanbu na no da himitsu keisatsu yami ni magireru supai katsudou torishimariSo, does that mean they think Beers and Whis are useless.

Sometimes they hold two contradiction positions at once, like they'll say "it doesn't matter x isn't the strongest, strength is not all that matter for a good character." then turn around and whine "why isn't x the strongest?! He's my favorite, Toriyama is clearly snubbing him!".
Baffling, truly baffling.
People in general seem to have a problem not understanding that not killing the Big Bad =/= useless.
Even just stalling for time is useful if it keeps something catostrophic from happening.

Let it never be said that Shonen fans are the smartest people on the internet; I'm thoroughly convinced most of them are pre-teen boys who don't understand due to ignorance.
Or adults are that fucking dumb.
Not that it's hard given that Dragon Ball is a pretty firm believer in My Kung-Fu Is Stronger Than Yours; as much as people like to argue against it, there is some prevalence of "The strongest power level wins" throughout the series.

A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.Dood, most of them ARE preteen boys. Shonen is a target audience, meaning, young boys, so, yeah, the target audience for Dragon Ball is pretty much preteen/teen-Gohan-aged boys.

Yea, this is what I was referring to; most of those pre-teen aged boys are likely in their twenties by now (Like most of us posting in this very topic :V) and grew up on the Power Level wank. Some grew out of it and learned to appreciate the series beyond that....others.....didn't and those are the remnants.
You probably have a few new generation of Dragon Ball fans who participate in these discussions, but it feels like it's mostly dominated by the ones who grew up on the franchise.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.Because Dragon Ball totally never got reruns and its fanbase is totally composed of twenty-thirty something nerds and nothing else. For sure.
himitsu keisatsu seifu chokuzoku kokka hoanbu na no da himitsu keisatsu yami ni magireru supai katsudou torishimariI'm mostly just making fun of myself because I've done that.
That being said, I've mostly said that the Power Levels never should have grown as big as they did.

Dude, this entire thread is literally primarily populated by people who grew up on Dragon Ball as children and this is only a small part of the Internet. I'm not saying there isn't a new generation of Dragon Ball fans, but it's not like a significant portion of those who grew up on the franchise just left it after they got older.
Hell, one of the most popular parodys of the series are made by those very people :V Dragon Ball has a significant Periphery Demographic as a result.

A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.Yes, I know that said demographic exists, however, don't assume that the majority of the fanbase is adult men who grew up with it, especially when the series has, in recent years, gotten a massive revival.

Me actually.
Or at least I started it again.
One word:
Yamcha.
That's all I'm gonna say.
Phew. So I'm hoping we'll finally get the beginning of the Universe Survival arc after this next ep with Krillin. I'm looking forward to it. A tournament is a good way to let other characters strut their stuff.
