Yea, the creators of Other M seemed genuinely shocked at how panned their portrayal of Samus was considering how enthusiastic they seemed about it.
It would explain quite a lot of things about the industry if the more traditionalist older generation are still in charge of how things are said and done.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.Problem is, that tends to be a legitimate and big problem in a lot of industries. Old people who have no idea what they're doing or even worse, their young heirs who have even less idea of what they're doing have way too much power.
himitsu keisatsu seifu chokuzoku kokka hoanbu na no da himitsu keisatsu yami ni magireru supai katsudou torishimariI really don't think we should blame the culture for Toriyama's writing mistakes. The reasons or influences behind the writing issues don't matter as far as the work is concerned, the problem is that the issues are there.
This song needs more love."It's Son Goku's mediocre son!"
Krillin, pass the Senzu.
...
Man, I'm glad this mini-arc is over. It was the most boring the Super has been yet.
And yeah, Videl portrayal leaves much to be desired. She's almost unrecognizable from her Buu saga self.
Then again, it's not like Gohan fared that much better...
Gohan might be on the verge of fixing that though.
Lets hope the tournament gives him some glory.
One Strip! One Strip! There really is "you're wrong or right" about things like this. Just what you prefer.
I've noticed that Cortez seems to get really invested/defensive of parental/family things. That's fine if you love stuff like that, but it doesn't invalidate any problems people may have with it for other reasons.

Indeed.
He's the one who will decide how things will go at the tournament.
With so many competitors, I'm hoping he makes the best use of everyone.
One Strip! One Strip!Random thought but is this the first time we've seen Krillin in his gi with hair?
This song needs more love. That filler was a blast. Can't believe I almost skipped this one.
- "Son Goku's kind of mediocre son!"
- "Yeah, he does look kind of mediocre!" ...

- Kaioken, Vegetto, the return of Potara fusion, Super Pan, Pilaf gang, Trunks meeting Trunks, 18 pitching in against Beerus, Yamcha's death pose winning the baseball game - Toei's good at reading the room.
- Even moreso with that heart-to-heart Gohan had with Cocoa.
- And let's examine that: Gohan admits that he can't do everything despite his amazing abilities - this is exactly in line with criticism of Gohan's fighting ability. He gets over this and cheers Cocoa on. Barry comes in trying to ruin his relationship with Videl but she doesn't have any of it. Barry comes back and turns into a giant, dark, red-eyed ape monster not unlike Gohan did against Vegeta. Barry is now fueled by malice and violence, he's stronger and he just keeps getting stronger, he feels invincible, he's not afraid of Gohan or anyone - isn't that somewhat similar to the image we who complain about Gohan turning into a pedestrian have of Gohan himself? This powerful, confident, violent creature?
- It's like Gohan is fighting the embodiment of all his recent criticism since the beginning of Super. And he's doing it dressed as Great Saiyaman, the goofiest part of his personality, the start of his "Badass Decay".

- Let me get this straight. Jaco can't fire the Macrocosm Cannon because it will kill Barry. But "Super Great Saiyaman Beam" is fine to Gohan because he "held back?" Anything Jaco could produce would likely be weaker than what Gohan could fire. And far as I saw Gohan's beam pretty much blasted him head-on.
- Alright, fine, Super Great Saiyaman is great (and Heroes will probably use it soon). But Gohan seriously thought to name his attack after it moments after the director came up with the name?
- That shot of Gohan, Videl, and Pan might be the coolest, heroic-looking shot I've seen in Dragonball since Vegeta exploded.
- Wasn't there a part earlier in Super where Gohan lamented at how Goten didn't think the Great Saiyaman was cool anymore? So why is he so excited by the movie now?
- I wish we could have actually seen the movie. I mean, how much editing was needed to get Mr. Satan into the final act.
- Chi Chi's reaction is priceless. And Goku looks so bored.
These little character moments are worth the filler.
- Funny that Gohan would adopt a superhero person and battle an actor-turned-monster named Barry.

Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.

That's because it's the old people in control of things that have those thoughts and ideas, not the audiences they sell to.
