I accept what's happening as "canon", I just don't really feel the need to experience the ride as it's happening. Well, determining which version is supposed to be canon here is kind of tricky, I'd just go with the anime because it's happening first.
The manga sounds boring and the anime has...other problems from the sounds of it.
Maybe if the tournament is reported as cool I tune into it before it's over.

If anything else, it's something to watch and it's not like I don't enjoy a lot of it's moments. Really, it just takes an open mind and taking a lot of things at face value.
But I understand that it has a lot of issues that can turn people away and refuse to acknowledge it as worthy successor in the series.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.I am not at all surprised by the idea that Vegetto or "Super" Trunks are anime only, and I'm glad if the manga doesn't use them. But Rose being anime only would be a surprise, even if the form is not explained and doesn't seem fitting. I would find it strange if Black was really limited to just Super Saiyan 1 if he body swapped with a post-God Goku, unless there is a twist to that. I'm also starting to feel like maybe this is just being rushed due to how far it is behind the anime, in which case, that would really suck and I wouldn't see much point in the manga any more if it can't even tell the story it wants to.
On the other hand, Zamasu and Goku Black being this easily overwhelmed does mean they can use Potara to fuse without causing unnecessary power inflation. I really don't like that Super has introduced multiple huge power-ups and still refused to get Goku get anywhere close to Beerus. Having God-tier characters use Potara here would be quite ridiculous.

I agree, Super has made it harder for the enemies to reach the "God tier" which I appreciate over the anime version. I'm still interested to see how this plays out. Now, if only the manga had done something in its version to remove Freeza from God tier
My biggest fear is that merged Zamasu is strong enough to beat Goku and Vegeta, but Goku calls Zeno to finish him (and maybe the timeline). That would be a rather boring ending and an even worse use of that plot thread than the anime version, which at least had the immortality to justify the need.
Just because Zamasu is a God doesn't justify it. The Kaioshin have never been that powerful, and actual Gods cover a really wide range that tends more toward being really weak. "God tier" is really just the new term for the Post-BOG higher levels that treat God as something special again. But Kaioshin were never special, and nothing has really changed to justify one becoming so strong.
TBH Zamasu never had the upper hand in battle in the FT saga. You have an argument for Black, but, in any case, the Sorting Algorythm Of Evil is to be discarded if you have Beerus as unsurpassable. Manga!Hit, as somebody really strong, but still not in the God tier, but skilled enough to make a difference, is the way to go in my opinion.
Then again, Toei was already going with mooks "stronger than Majin Buu" in GT.
o_o
Don't be f'cking ridiculous random person on the internet whose feelings I am completely disregarding for the sake of rebuttal! It's like we don't randomly mention Jojo
or One Punch Man
or Hunter X Hunter
in this thread at least once a month!
Super's good but goodness gracious if you've somehow ignored the above 3 stop reading this and watch them. Watch them now!

I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!One Punch Man is classified as Seinen.
I mean, wasn't our Kaioshin, from the East explicitly stated in both anime and manga to be the youngest, weakest, and least experienced before Buu killed them all?
Like, yeah, that still puts them all as being weaker than Kid Buu (or, at least, if they are as strong or stronger, not skilled, efficient, or smart enough to get around Buu's regeneration, stamina and absorption) but.
I'm just saying. Shin/East Supreme Kai isn't quite the best metric for what all Supreme Kai are like. Even where Universe 7 is concerned, he's the bottom of the barrel.

For Good Shonen, Boku No Hero Academia, Seven Deadly Sins and The Promised Neverland are something to look at if you want.

Come to think of it, Toei does seem to adhere to the Sorting Algorithm of Evil even mor ethna Toriyama does. Super seems to even push the whole 'Always Someone Better' trope to its logical extreme where they are God Tier characters that are more powerful than the god our heroes clashed with and he is only powerful in the universe that they are in. It could also be that Toei just doesn't care about that as long as they introduce more powerful foes for Goku beat up.

"Mai waifu."

Super the anime isn't that bad past the recapping of the movies. I would dare say it is actually good... shockingly enough. The comedy has been quite good, especially the last two episodes.
