Sometimes I have difficulty remembering if Chiaotzu was ever anything more than an accessory for Tien.
This song needs more love.No not really.
I think Toriyama just had him there without having much of a plan for him.
One Strip! One Strip!Well he seemed like an Evil Counterpart to Krillin, to parallel Tien and Goku's relationship at the time.
Obviously that was dropped afterward, but still.

A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.Who is going to win the baseball game tonight, people? Vote!
By the way, I was reading another of Toriyama works, one where he was only the writer and someone else drew the manga. I think I discovered the prototype version of Goku Black in Jiya, in the form of Steth. The guy is a former galactic patrolman who took over the body of a vampire, considers humans "greedy", but is also enjoying the feeling of using a vampire body.
Just a fun thought, but we all know Zamasu is Light Yagami meets Super 17, meets a Final Fantasy villain, meets Gigyas, with a small dosis of the Future Androids.

To win, you need to adapt, and to adapt, you need to be able to laugh away all the restraints. Everything holding you back. When I learned that family names are considered old-fashioned in the world of Dragon Ball, I could barely believe it. Of all the many, MANY things in Dragon Ball, the idea that people used to use family names but have now stopped doing so... that's what breaks my suspension of disbelief.
De Romanīs, lingua Latina gloriosa non fuī.That's really minor...
Family names are dumb anyway...
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.Eeeeh, I don't recall that happening, but then again, my memory ain't perfect.
Anyway, I suppose Videl would be surprised since literally only the Son family has a surname in the entirety of Dragon Ball.
himitsu keisatsu seifu chokuzoku kokka hoanbu na no da himitsu keisatsu yami ni magireru supai katsudou torishimariChaozu was introduced as a tournament opponent for Kuririn. He filled that role very well, and at that stage it was probably the most entertaining fight Kuririn had.
If he had gone off with the crane hermit instead of sticking around then I'm sure nobody would be questioning the point of him. But it's not like he stuck around for a long time compared to the other characters - his two deaths and defeat played a part in the next three arcs, establishing the general atmosphere/Tao Pai Pai's return, and after that he was written out of the series.

I mean, I like Chiaotzu in that one movie where he's an Emperor with a doll wife.
That was weird.
