I'm just glad that Trunks got the finishing blow. Anyone else would have been lame.
This song needs more love.Well this was kinda dissappointing, bringing back Gogeta for him not to even finish Zamasu off. Meh.
Warrior to the very end! My tumblr, dood! That doesn't make sense with the context. Gowasu said the fusion only lasts an hour. Then we see the fusion end as prematurely here as it did with Buu. It's left to the viewer to decide if this is the same case as with Buu, but it's pretty heavily implied. Especially since there's no way Vegito vs Buu was 1 hour.
"If you weren't so crazy I'd think you were insane."Like, it'd be lame as hell if Trunks couldn't resolve his own story arc and would only reinforce the complaints about Super is the "Goku and Vegeta" show.
But if Trunks actually manages to win, he gets labelled a Mary Sue who gets random power ups to justify his importance.
Unless you rewrite the entire arc, it's a lose-lose situation that leaves nobody satisfied. So you know how you solve this? Fuck the haters, I didn't mind this episode despite...how...over the top it was in certain areas.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.
Maybe Gogeta/Trunks combined attack? That way everybody's happy and the ending is 10x cooler

Warrior to the very end! My tumblr, dood! That's what I mean, nobody is satisfied with either outcome and would still complain no matter what. So I'm just gonna focus on what I enjoy while acknowledging the flaw. Because let's be honest, Dragon Ball as a whole is dumb as fuck, it's up to you to choose whether that drags it down or not.
Like yea, I will wholly admit a lot of things in this arc are poorly explained and not focused on, as well as some pacing issues. But the fights were hype, and we got a cool villain out of it. If it entertained me, then it succeeded in my eyes.
If you weren't entertained and basically have nothing but contempt for this arc and Super as a whole...then (shrug), sorry to hear that.

A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.I'm fucking dissapointed.
Seriously, fuck this. I can accept Trunks defeating Zamasu, hell, I can accept the padding, but making the Potara fusion Not Permanent?
Fucking BULLSHIT! If you were going to waste everybody time, bring Gogeta and get it over it!
This bullshit is ripping off three Dragon Ball out-of-manga plots:
> Bio Broly
> Spirit Bomb Goku from Android 13
> SSJ 4 Gogeta without the laughs
I'M pissed, and I should have expected it from Toei. FUCK IT. Let's see if the manga can make this shit works.
I'm going to miss Black. He was my genocidal husbando.

To win, you need to adapt, and to adapt, you need to be able to laugh away all the restraints. Everything holding you back.
You do realize Toriyama is giving Toei and Toyotaro the notes for the series, right?

Warrior to the very end! My tumblr, dood!I don't really see why it's a big deal. The permanent fusion thing ended up never mattering anyway. Of course, I don't see why it needed to be retconned in the first place but meh.
This song needs more love. You didn't need to retcon the Potara. It's been established in Super that you could just wish them apart. It's an entirely pointless, superfluous retcon that wasn't needed and doesn't enhance the story. It's there just so Trunks can get the final hit in.
Again, just wait for the manga.
"If you weren't so crazy I'd think you were insane."
Because 1) The character is a huge darkhorse in the fandom 2) it makes the fusion less unique. Without the permanent thingy, Veggeto is just Gogeta with 30 more minutes.
And Besides, being permanent is a HUGE risk, and the main reason why isn't used in the first place. Making it not permanent kills the tension, and just make it a cheap power up instead of a dangerous tool.

To win, you need to adapt, and to adapt, you need to be able to laugh away all the restraints. Everything holding you back.Honestly the fact that Gogeta was only needed to soften up Zamasu for Trunks to end him plotwise was a real letdown, especially after we just now got to see him after all these years.
Warrior to the very end! My tumblr, dood!So this is the first episode of Super I watched because I really wanted to see SSJB Vegeto in action. This was... really disappointing. Not only was Vegeto nowhere near as entertaining as he was back in his original appearance and the retcon to the Potara fusion really BS, the way Zamasu died was really stupid. I mean, how was that even remotely powerful enough to kill Zamasu? How did that even happen? That was pure Deus ex Machina. Not only did Trunks somehow keep up with and kill an opponent that required Vegeto but he did so with a technique he pulled right from his ass. There's just no way in hell that Trunks' Spirit Bomb Sword thing, which is only being powered by maybe a couple thousand humans at best, could do anything of significance to Zamasu. This is just... so retarded that I don't have the words for it.
At least it looked pretty.
