"Zamasu is just mocking us by wasting time!" No, Gowasu, that's Toei doing that. That's why Zamasu's just standing there doing nothing with his arms open for 5 minutes straight.
Though seriously, Fused Zamasu's techniques look pretty cool, and make considerably more sense than Black's scythe thingy. Father-Son Gallick Gun looked pretty cool, too
Not a bad episode, but clearly just a bridge for the next one. They really could've upped the pacing, here, but the end result ain't too bad.

The bird thing was alright, but he was just shooting the same generic blasts at Goku and Vegeta, with the same resulting explosions. Except now they're "more" powerful. At least the dumb scythe-thing was different I guess. Looks like the preview is showing off a different change of pace, so there's that I suppose. Vegito looks like he's using the Final Kamehameha.

Besides the bird, I was also thinking of the exploding blades. The "raining blades from Heaven" motif is enough to make it look distinct, without needing to resort to convoluted stuff.
I'm definitely looking forward to the next episode, though. Looks like it's getting the lion's share of the budget for animation.
...well everyone called it. Vegito. Not sure why that's being spoiler-tagged.
It still kind of seems like bad fanfiction just with TORIYAMA written on it. Zamasu merged into the ultimate new, green-skinned form with Goku's hairstyle, all new techniques that dwarf the heroes, and an overly angelic theme despite Dragonball having a decidedly non-Western take on deities. He didn't even gain the accessory neck-halo that Whis has, he came up with mock angel wings and started shooting electricity. Ugh. I'm never going to like Future Zamasu.
I hate his techniques. "Lightning of Absolution," "Blades of Judgment" look like they belong in fate/stay Night. Again it clashes with what I expect, and not in a way I'm happy with. The giant purple bird/golem/Stand was kind of cool, kind of different. And then it blew up. Zamasu was cooler when he was using chops.
I liked this
Zamasu better. The way he carries himself, catching Goku's fist and using his momentum against him, waiting for his opponent to attack. I know that Zamasu's currently balls-deep into the evil right now but he's way too "final boss" now, right down to summoning a giant monster and naming his attacks "something OF something!". And we know he's not the final boss because we still have a tournament to get to.
But really, how are they really going to top this? This arc's pulled out all the emotional, dramatic stops: Goku and Vegeta working together, Vegeta getting to be badass for once, Goku actually being serious, at least three major character deaths, Vegeta getting to sacrifice himself for Trunks, Trunks seeing the post-Cell world and finding out about Mai's survival. And a villain that's gone from being The Stoic to being the most narcissistic being in existence.
Zamasu gets worse as his character evolves. He went from being having a mysterious background rife with conflict, to being an absolutely two-dimensional evil dick just like most of the other villains. At least when they made him self-aware he was amusing, but now he's just floating around being hella boring. Where's the guy who nonchalantly let himself get stabbed through the abdomen to wound his opponent? Where's the guy who was all "shit, even I don't know what my power does now?" At least that guy was entertaining. If you scratch out his self-mockery/humor and little moments like him and Black chilling on the patio, Zamasu is really freaking stale.
Anyway, this episode was Super Perfect Cell vs Gohan with Zamasu as Cell and Trunks as Gohan. Zamasu's green and he just attained his "perfect" form.
If there is any solace I should take from this episode it's that Vegito instantly makes the next episode better, and that I can officially stop looking at all of the pictures of Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan Vegetto as non-canon.
Of course anyone who didn't watch Dragonball or the Buu Saga has no idea who Eighter is, or why he's standing alone in a blizzard instead of with Snow in the village.

I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!I don't care how he names his techniques.
Though I suppose as a god, he feels he needs to give them an extra zing or whatever.
The important thing is.....next week, he's getting whupped.
One Strip! One Strip!TFS could have a field day coming up with attack names for Fused Zamasu to ponder about.
- Black: Alright we gotta hit these guys hard and fast, and we need a name for our attack. What should we call it?
- Zamasu: Wait, why do we need names for our attacks? We've been doing... okay, without them.
- Black: And we'd be doing better with them!
- Zamasu: Fair enough. How about... Lightning of Absolution?
- Black: Nah, that's dumb. How 'bout... Agony Wave?
- Zamasu: Too edgy. Maybe... Blades of Judgment?
- Black: Not edgy enough! Negative Karma Ball?
- Zamasu: Holy Wrath...?
- Black: Absolute Pain Laser!
- Zamasu: ...screw it, I'm summoning a giant bird.
- Black: Dude, I was totally just thinking that!
- Zamasu: Can't hear you, summoning giant bird.
- Black: B-but I still have to name it! F... FOWL OF THE DARKNESS FLAME!

I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!
x5 We are using spoilers because not everyone has seen the episode. Plus people can see the episodes legally now.
Also, it's kinda sad that Eighter and turtle are by themselves.Because you exactly why that is.
And i disagree about Fused Zamasu, i love how pretentious he is now.

Don't forget the love and justice.
That Eighter thing is kind of sad... but Snow was a young woman by the time of Buu's death, and Super is still before the End of Z (oh ho ho ho and isn't that a can of worms all by itself). So she can't be dead. Unless she died from a mysterious heart disease.
EDIT: And five minutes later I realize this is the future timeline and none of that happened. -_-

I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!Well obviously Vegito's power isn't enough and Vegito will go back in time so he can meet with the past Goku and Vegeta, have them fuse into Gogeta, and then fuse with them to create: Gogetagetto, the ultimate warrior.
After which Zamasu will pull the exact same crap and fuse with his previous unfused selves in order to create... Super Pretentious Paradox Zamasu. Four Zamasu's sharing the same body.

I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!Strange though.
Roshi was alive in the previous special, so why is he apparently dead now? Did they find his submarine somehow?
One Strip! One Strip!

Or maybe the combination of an immortal and a mortal is unstable. Or maybe a fusion of the same person from different timelines is unstable. Could be anything.
The *Legendary* Super Saiyan is motivated by a crying infant! He is a literal giant f***ing baby!
