The basic difference is that timelines supecede universes. Trunks' timeline has a Universe 1-12. a Zamasu, Gowasu, Zeno, etc that are distinct from the ones we've seen that are affected by events that happen in their timeline, not in the multiverse of the heroes' timeline.
The timelines are created when one makes a "change" to the past by way of the time machine. Thus, it is actually impossible to use the Time Machine to make alterations to your home timeline. However, according to Beerus and Whis' confusion when one uses methods of time travel known to the Gods - like the Time Rings - you can make changes and alter the past without creating a separate timeline, which is thus far more dangerous.
Or in short, timelines are essentially higher universes all to themselves, created by accident, that each contain the multiverses we know to exist in just one timeline.

I used to ship Zamasu and Black together.
now I don't. Is masturbation if you change bodies?
To win, you need to adapt, and to adapt, you need to be able to laugh away all the restraints. Everything holding you back.I know it comes up sometimes in AF stuff where Goten becomes Great Saiyaman 2 or 3 or what have you, but I would love a spinoff Saiyaman 3 series that looked like this.
She'd probably be a nerd...
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.Of course she never kissed him, she's the only character in this series who isn't a nerd.
You can't see Kakarrot kissing anybody...it's not possible to visualize.
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.Actually, it makes less sense because they did live together for years, unlike The Sauce and Sakura, where the former left immediately.
Not to mention we know they banged at least twice, while there's only proof that The Sauce banged Sakura once.
himitsu keisatsu seifu chokuzoku kokka hoanbu na no da himitsu keisatsu yami ni magireru supai katsudou torishimariWho knows. They are really trying hard to ignore it.
Whatever the case, lets change the subject and see what Dragonball would be like with Black as the hero:
Truly heartwarming isn't it?

Wanna repeat that, maybe with a better choice of words?

I love it.

Then the average person needs a foot up the ass.
Truthfully, there are things about Dragonball I like more then Z.
The fact that the power levels hadn't reached the point of destroy the planet by sneezing for one thing.
One Strip! One Strip! Why not? While in comparison to later villains they're not significant, the inaugural search for the Dragonballs was the most important turning point in her life, and Pilaf and Co were not only a big part of that, they were then recurring elements in her life over the next couple of years.
Also, we expect characters in a universe to remember each other because they're characters in a universe, unless the gag is specifically that they don't - and not only is it an odd (but doable) set-up for the Pilaf Gang to both be hiding out as children and forgotten by the heroes anyway, but the series has already set themselves up for gags like that, and instead they've been doing the "the Pilaf Gang has to goofily cover themselves, lest the others recognize them" gag. I was expecting Future Mai to be the wrench in their scheme in one way or another.
That said, a different payoff for that gag is that Bulma has known all along and just doesn't care, which would explain her not reacting to Future Mai, but it still surprised me.

For one, there is no 'original Dragon Ball', it and Z are all one series.
Second, literally everyone I've ever heard the opinion on this topic has said that the series before Raditz was better than the series after Raditz. I'm sure other people have the contrasting opinion, but I can't remember ever hearing it for the life of me.
Third, something you "like to pretend never actually happened" is a sentiment you reserve for Old Shames like Dragon Ball GT or Dragonball Evolution, and NOT Dragon Ball!

Well apparently there's a difference between spatial universes like Universe 6 and 7, and temporal universes like Trunks' and the main timelines.
Also, an off-topic discussion would be talking about the Brazilian wandering spider, and the effect its venom can have on human males.
