I have repeatedly acknowledged how pointless a distinction that is. Besides, this thread doesn't represent the entire fanbase, and it doesn't look like many are aligned with your own extreme viewpoint.
@Adric - I don't conflate opinion with fact. One thing I try to stress above all else is how most things we discuss are completely subject, and the only one here I see describing much of what they say as "fact" is PMC.

I know Super is largely more popular than GT, but it doesn't say much. Even GT has a sizeable enough fanbase in forums which have a larger representation of Dragon Ball fans (especially Dragon Ball forums, which by their nature will attract people are are more inclined to like the installments).
And while I won't chalk up Super's success entirely to Toriyama's name being attached, that is definitely a factor. Fans attach a large amount of importance to the original creator's works, and that by itself can sway some people. Before you even get to the content, Super has a number of advantages - the original creator's name attached to it, the timing of it, a new generation of fans, etc

And I've seen a lot of people say the damn Abridged series is better than the original anime, and people saying that everything after Piccolo Jr. sucked. In the end it becomes kinda silly. Fun to discuss, yes, but silly.

Have you any dreams you'd like to sell?...I liked GT for what it was.
