That's another thing entirely though...
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.Gohan is still played by Nqzawa, even as a teenager and an adult. I think Videl still has the same actress as well.
One Strip! One Strip!Well yeah but then most of them are terrible. They're all supposed to make fun of/exaggerate the character's personalities right?
TFS Goku sounds incredibly dopey. Vegeta's almost spot-on. He's always got this snobby, hyper-masculine voice which works sure, but it's excessive. It's supposed to be. This Vegeta is an exaggeration of how asinine the original was.
Gohan, Trunks, and Cell are the only three I would consider genuinely good voices. You can still hear traces of Abridged Alucard in Cell, and I can still hear Abridged Yusuke in Trunks, but they don't sound like complete copies. The TFS actors all have talent sure (Lanipator mimicking Ginyu's voice as Goku), but I still wouldn't compare them to the originals because I'm automatically going to like the former better, just for the hysterical nature of their lines.

I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!Huh. Well for some reason Abridged!Yusuke was the first thing I thought of when Trunks showed up
. I never actually checked.
As for Freeza well - I plead the fifth on that one.
All three are fine...choosing is too hard.
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.New Xenoverse 2 gameplay, also shows off some of the roster:
It seems variations are still a thing, and Goku has 18 of them while Vegeta has 11. Majin Vegeta is a separate character and not a variation. Imperfect Cell seems like a really fun character to play as.
As for other characters variations, from what I can tell:
- CAC: 8
- Future Trunks: 6
- Kid Gohan: 5
- Piccolo: 5
- Yamcha: 3
- Raditz: 3
- Majin Vegeta: 2
- Zarbon: 2
- Guldo: 2
- Jeice: 2
- Turles: 1
- 16: 1
- 17: 2
- 18: 3
- Imperfect Cell: 1
- Krillin: 5
- Future Gohan: 1
- Nappa: 3
- Teen Gohan: 2
- GT Goku: 3
- Dadoria: 2
- SSJ4 Vegeta: 1
- Burter: 2
- Final Form Frieza: 2
- Full Power Frieza: 2
- Recoome: 2
- Ginyu: 6
- Slug: 1
- SSJ4 Goku: 1
- Pan: 2
- Super Gogeta: 2
- Super Janemba: 1
Also, I counted 84 character slots, though since Pan was the farthest character unlocked on the roster, there might be a little more than that. I expect almost 90 characters, maybe 100 if we're lucky. Since Xenoverse 1 had 58 characters (after DLC), that means Xenoverse 2 will have around 30 new playable characters.

I like the fact that Xenoverse 2 looks to be the most aesthetically DBZ-esque Dragon Ball game released so far. That Turles vs Cell fight really does look like how a fight in Dragon Ball ought to look like, with everyone doing Flash Step everywhere, blasts flying around, constant back and forth, it's awesome.
himitsu keisatsu seifu chokuzoku kokka hoanbu na no da himitsu keisatsu yami ni magireru supai katsudou torishimariSo here's a thought:
Dragon ball as a whole doesn't really do recurring villains.
They pretty much always get killed off in the arc they get introduced in, unless they are going to be kept around to Heel–Face Turn later.
Frieza is pretty much the only dude who's managed to come back (and actually be somewhat of a threat the second time), and that's due to pure popularity.
Why do you guys think that is?
One Strip! One Strip!Yamcha really deserves better
. He'd be relevant in a series like My Hero Academia or Hunter Hunter.
I mean he just crafted a sword of stone out of falling debris... with his bare hands.
I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!That really sums it up well huh? Toriyama does what he feels like. It works most of the time, but putting Can't Catch Up into the story to such a degree is something that will never totally jive with me.
At the same time, seeing all these characters evolve, grow, and have families and all that....
That's not something that happens in manga (or any comics) very often, and I can't deny there's appeal in that, even if his reasons for marrying off some characters were also due to mere whims.
One Strip! One Strip! It makes it a shame that Super doesn't want to budge the timeline forward at all. The closest we've had to anything happening is Pan being conceived and then born.
The *Legendary* Super Saiyan is motivated by a crying infant! He is a literal giant f***ing baby!True.
And that's a thing. The old characters were pushed aside for a lot of new guys, but at the same time...
He spent years building up Gohan, then changed his mind.
He made Goten and Trunks so strong but they failed as well, and now we can't even see them grow up and improve.
Pan is a girl. Enough said. Same for Bra, who's only official incarnation doesn't fight.
I mean, liking Goku and wanting to write him is one thing, but it seems like all these other guys are here just to build him up.
And I am still....(and I may have to kick myself in the face for using this term) ...salty about how the Kaioken was built up and wasted.
One Strip! One Strip! They're not even there to build him up. That's Vegeta and now Future Trunks's role. The other members are there to...exist. Because they have to exist. Because they're in Z.
I know this happened to the Dragon Ball supporting cast, but at least a lot of them had sort of character arcs that ended in satisfying ways. Goten is still barely a character, and Gohan basically went backwards in his own arc for no conceivable reason.
Kid Trunks might be more important in this arc because of something the voice actor hinted at in an interview. I'm really hoping for that.
The *Legendary* Super Saiyan is motivated by a crying infant! He is a literal giant f***ing baby!

I'll take Canadian Sean Schemmel and Kirby Morrow over Nozawa anyday. Goku's voice just sounds so weird as an adult.
"Mai waifu."
