Maybe so, but there's a reason why Tropes Are Not Bad applies to Gameplay and Story Segregation, as well.
Fun thing is, it never happened. He just stood there and took it.
Thing is, they compensated for the amazingly shitty AI by giving them super armor, and they compensate for the ridiculous amounts of super armor with even shittier AI. Which results in amazingly dumb bots that are basically unmovable damage sponges, but aren't really a threat at all. Shit, I remember fighting Broly with level 1 characters, and him not being able to defeat me, even though all he had to do was land 3 or so blows. I was dealing shit for damage, yeah, but the point is, he wasn't dangerous at all.

himitsu keisatsu seifu chokuzoku kokka hoanbu na no da himitsu keisatsu yami ni magireru supai katsudou torishimariWhen it comes down to it, Super Armor is a big fat load of Fake Difficulty, but sometimes, it's necessary. Broly is the kind of character you would expect to have Super Armor, like the Hulk in Marvel Vs. Capcom. And sometimes, it makes sense for a bossfight to have the boss have Super Armor, like, say, you're fighting freaking Beerus or Whis, and naturally, you're not gonna be able to make them flinch.
But it has to make sense for the character you're fighting. In Xenoverse, pretty much every single boss had Super Armor. The only character a newbie could realistically clear the game with was a Super Attack Spamming Super Saiyan.
If you want to make the bossfights harder, give them less health, but more speed, make them more aggressive. Just giving them infinite ki and stamina isn't enough, it needs to be more than that.

himitsu keisatsu seifu chokuzoku kokka hoanbu na no da himitsu keisatsu yami ni magireru supai katsudou torishimariI mean, their idea of a semi-final boss rush was 2 pointless, out-of-nowhere battles against Evil Gohan, Evil Vegeta, and Evil Gotenks and against Evil Freeza, Evil Cell, and Evil Buu. They've already used all the most important heroes and villains (and wasted their Evil formes on a boss rush made just to pad out the roster, as opposed to actually incorporating them into the plot at all). Tenshinhan, Chiaotzu, and Yamcha being kidnapped from the times of their lives when they were at their worst at the beginning of the game, with the plot not really caring because they're only Tenshinhan, Chiaotzu, and Yamcha, only to show up at the very end, having been boosted to SS3 levels through off-screen Training from Hell, sounds like a fantastic and unexpected plot twist.

EDIT: I just realized, if Time Breaker Bardock is powerful enough to go against SSJ4 Gogeta, how fucking powerful is Time Breaker Vegeta!?

Does the power scaling in Heroes actually make sense? Or is just sort of made-up?
The *Legendary* Super Saiyan is motivated by a crying infant! He is a literal giant f***ing baby!Power-scaling in Heroes is basically "SSJ 3 for everyone", so heh.
Nautolan picture belongs to Bonesmarinated on twitterI thought most fans were human.
My Tumblr. Currently side-by-side liveblogging Digimon Adventure, sub vs dub.

Which is, unfortunately, almost certainly what they're going to do, because programming decent AI would take way more skill than what they have.
I don't mind a certain amount of Super Armor. I don't mind if the 'giants' have Pseudo Super Armor. But you know what I think is completely fucking stupid?
When Broly just walks right through my Super Kamehameha and stands there looking at me like "bitch I'm Broly".
