I still don't like that. Why did he have to be weaker than Frost? He's stronger than Namek era Frieza.

Does Piccolo even train? We never see him do that anymore, he never made any noticeable gains through regular training after the Saiyan saga.

[up][up][up]Yes. It was weird because they seemed pretty even but even in the manga, Piccolo apparently had no chance of actually winning.

Which is why Frost even bothering to cheat against him makes no sense. Impatience and all but come on man.

Goku says that Piccolo doesn't stand a chance and is just there to wear down Frost's stamina. Piccolo says that everyone underestimates him, he takes off his weighted clothing, and proceeds to fight evenly with Frost. The implication is that Goku was wrong about how strong Piccolo is.

That seems oddly un-Goku-like but whatever.

Weirdly enough, the only people aside from Goku and Vegeta who've been known to actively train are Piccolo, Tien, Chiaotzu and Master Roshi.

Gohan started training again, that's only started happening recently.

Piccolo went from matching form 2 Frieza to beating Android 20 just from training. He also gave Cell 1 a run for his money, and only needed the Kami fusion to match up to Androids 17 and 18.

It's not like there's really anything for Piccolo to do but train, anyway.

While he did beat 20, we don't know how he fared in the timeline where Trunks didn't warn everyone. The anime showed scenes of the fighters being killed by 17 and 18, that was the event that killed the heroes, Gero still ended up releasing the Androids.

He beat Cell 1 after fusing with Kami, not through training.

[up] I suppose not. I just haven't seem him train since, I don't know if the manga showed anything other than Goku and Vegeta in the time chamber.

We haven't really seen him much, period, though.

All we've seen him is when other people need him to babysit or whatever.

Its pretty hard to gauge how powerful anyone is when they don't really participate in any of the major fights anymore.

Weaker than Goku or Vegeta (or the enemy they are fighting) seems to be the current standard.

Gohan and possibly Buu are the lone exceptions, but Gohan doesn't train enough to bring out his full potential, and Buu gets worfed anyway when the plot demands it.

There's also Gotenks, but that's only for 30 minutes (even less if he goes too high).

Piccolo went from Android 17 tier to surpassing Semi Perfect Cell by training back in the Android saga. He also went from second form Freeza tier to low Super Saiyan tier by training for 3 years with Super Saiyan Goku.

And, in Super, he was training with Gohan, and he was giving him a run for his money.

So yeah, he is the character shown to improve by training other than Saiyans. Then again, he was born as a warrior Namekian, and fused with yet another before becoming complete. And Nail was pretty much the 8th strongest "mortal" in the universe when we met him, so warrior Namekians are damn strong by nature as far as we know.

So yeah, Piccolo is a bit of a special snowflake as well.

And the Buu we have is not the same Buu that fought evenly with SSJ 3 Goku.

Piccolo is probably at least stronger than Gohan and the kids by the time of the tournament, but still weaker than Goku or Vegeta. That's still pretty impressive all things considered, and he had his match won to the point where his opponent had to cheat to win.

Its kind of hard to gauge Buu's strength considering he's never seen training, nor has he been in a serious fight since the end of his arc. He jobbed to Beerus, which means Goku & Vegeta are definitely past him at least.

Probably remains around SSJ 2 tier or so; he didn't seem to be able to put a much better fight than Vegeta against Kid Buu.

Piccolo went from Android 17 tier to surpassing Semi Perfect Cell by training back in the Android saga.

Was that ever actually confirmed? His last explicit fight in Z was with 17. Even though he trains in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber for the Cell Games, it's still pretty vague how strong Piccolo got.

What would y'all fell like if Dragon Ball Heroes merchandise was brought over to the west? The manga is currently on hiatus, so that leaves plenty of time to localize it. The ports, on the other hand, are a tad out-dated, with DLC only releasing only a few of the recent characters.

What if they ported Dragon Ball Heroes to the Nintendo NX?

Every character, transformation and variation, with crisp graphics like the Budokai HD Collection. Over 2000 cards, 5-v-5 turn-based battles, fighting friends online, fully translated on a next-gen console. (or handheld, I have no idea what the heck the NX is gonna be)

I know arcades aren't big here anymore, but TCG's are, so maybe they could bring all the cards over and make rules for tabletop gameplay.

All in all, how'd y'all like Dragon Ball Heroes for the west?

I think the current rumor's that the NX won't be a handheld. Nintendo released an updated 3DS a relatively short time ago.

True, but the 3DS came out 1 year after the DS-i XL, so it's not unheard of. Also, NX being a console/handheld hybrid and stuff.

Plus, HD Dragon Ball Heroes.

Watched the latest episode. Hit got some hax ability there. Also, Goku's fighting genius shines ones again here, since he already devised a counter.

Next episode is probably going to be Hit trying to get Goku with one good strong pressure point blow to take him out, and Goku has to avoid being hit.

[up] Hit is more Kenshiro tbh, ya know with the whole pressure point fight style.
