At this point, Saiga could probably say something absurd like Blue!Launch is actually the strongest being in existence by far and we'd believe him.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!![]()
Not me.
While Saiga is always able to confirm a lot of what he says, there's still a lot he says that I disagree with. Despite that I still respect him.
But we must overthrow the Pope, before we come to rely on him too much. Otherwise, there's no hope for Tropes.
So I caught it.
Yeah, at least Goku powered down first.
So, you guys are probably gonna call bullshit on me, but now that i think about it, Goku tending to drop his guard may not be so much of an Informed Flaw as we believed.
He's always kinda been a little easy to trick ever since childhood.
I mean, Ninja Murasaki tricked him into closing his eyes and counting while the former tried to hide, and that only failed because Goku didn't know how to count up to the number the ninja wanted him to go to.
I'm pretty sure Krillin once tricked him way back, causing him to lose a training contest they were having.
Hell, do you all remember why he had to sacrifice himself to hold Raditz long enough for Piccolo to fire the Makankosappo?
Because when he had Raditz dead to rights the first time, he was tricked into letting him go because Raditz begged him to, and Goku fell for it.
He got knocked out by Vegeta, who then went on to fight and die against Buu, because Vegeta tricked him into thinking they would work together.
Goku does tend to relax his guard when he thinks there's no longer a threat. This isn't something they asspulled at all.
Or at least, that's my take on it. Anyway, while I know it won't happen, I still dream of this version providing some parallels to the beating Frieza gave Vegeta on Namek, only with the roles reversed.
One Strip! One Strip! That's not what we were arguing against.
What we're arguing against is that it doesn't matter. Goku wasn't on guard when a farmer hit him in the head with an ax and that did nothing. There are also a lot of other instances that I can't recall where Goku wasn't on guard when someone attacked him and it did nothing.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!Well, it's some crazy space laser. We don't know how powerful it is.
Also, they do have to actively be searching for Ki too. Remember how Zarbon and Vegeta were able to follow Krillin even though he should have sensed them both?
Also, that axe still gave Goku a huge ass lump. Yeah, it should have done way more than that, and he tanked it better than most people who take an axe to the head would, but he didn't exactly walk away completely unharmed. He just didn't die due to Axe to the head.
Plus, it was a small focused beam. Those tend to be better than larger blasts because they are small, fast and have more piercing power.
One Strip! One Strip! How do you know he's always had it?
It might have been something they only developed during the years Frieza was dead. It might have been something they came up during the 4 months of training.
Either way, they were staying as far away from Goku as possible, so they'd never had a chance to test it before then. It's possible they weren't sure it would work.
Then Frieza came and said, get that shit done, so they did it. I admit, my argument on this one is a little shaky, but still. I really do think it's works.
One Strip! One Strip!Well, Whis says Goku's body is weak where KI isn't present. In the movie it was through the back and Freezer was in front of him, so at least the movie was internally consistent.
We know Goku's tough enough to survive a point blank "powered gun" to the back as a child, so we can just assume the ring laser is stronger than that and thus strong enough to pierce where Goku isn't protecting with Ki but still feasibly too weak to bother him where he is protecting with Ki, since Freezer implies it wouldn't have worked at all had he been ready for it.
Buldogue's lawyerAnd the problem here is that Ki was never said to work that way before. The characters have never reinforced a specific area of their bodies with ki. Oh, if anyone can do that kind of ki control shit, it's Goku, don't get me wrong, but I have a hard time wondering why he would do it at all.
himitsu keisatsu seifu chokuzoku kokka hoanbu na no da himitsu keisatsu yami ni magireru supai katsudou torishimariI reject that summons!
The Pope has too much power! Dethrone him!
...well, I don't think you dethrone a pope.
De-Pope him!

Fun fact: The Pope is also the King of Vatican City (which just so happens to be one of the very few countries left with a true monarchy).

Not sure, but I'm definitely doing that now.

So....then you do dethrone a pope?
....I like de-pope-ing better. Rolls off the tongue.
De-Pope. De-Pope.
Just sounds lovely.

No, I did not just spend all of last night watching his videos. Why do you ask?

Kind of like the great Kamehameha duel.
