I feel the need to repeat that Elder Kai unlocked Gohan's "sleeping power". That's not the same thing as the power gained from training.
Sleeping power is something Gohan's always had. He had the power to surpass his father, who had trained his entire life, without doing any training whatsoever, as a child. The most important parts of training aren't "drawing out hidden power", they are repeating an action till it becomes reflexive and breaking down your body so that it will regrow stronger. It is about growing stronger, growing more skillful, and maintaining that strength, and that skill. It only linked to super saiyan 3 because that was itself the first tranformation about drawing within yourself for more power currently being unused, a process that tired Goku out very quickly. Gohan's had the same thing, only more thorough and without the need to transform. That makes it inherently superior to super saiyan 3 but does not mean the Elder Kai power up made Gohan as strong as he could ever possibly become through training. All it did was remove the least important part of the training process.
Or to summarize it, Gohan has more potential strength than Goku but he doesn't train hard enough to realize it and he has more power in himself already than Goku does but for whatever reason can't use it when not enraged. This is why Super Saiyan 2 was a surprise to everyone. Gohan was already stronger than Goku after the time chamber training, the extra rage boost that pushed him to a new super saiyan level was the same thing as him headbutting uncle Raditz. That had nothing to do with training. Elder Kai fixed half of the problem, but only half of it.
And I'll also add that's exactly why I don't care too much for Gohan. It was awesome when he kicked Cell's ass, it was awesome when he beat up Super Buu. But that's pretty much all there is to him as a fighter. He's inherently stronger than everyone else but can't use that strength unless he gets really upset or sits in front of an old pervert for 25 hours. He also benefits from training more than anyone else prior to Freeza's four months. He went from barely being able to move the sword to swinging it around easily in a few hours at most, but despite experiencing immediate gain, something athletes only dream of, he doesn't train. A giant potential power level is his identity. He either won't train or won't get angry but you know if he did either, let alone both, he'd be unstoppable. He's like The Incredible Hulk without the personality change or shredded clothing that make Hulk interesting. In my opinion he was long over due for character development before this super saiyan god thing rolled around and reduced the relevance of both his traits, or a change of pace if you're somehow convinced he's developed enough already. That's why I was eager to see him have superhero adventures with his wife, that would at least be a change.

Buldogue's lawyerUnless the copyright disclaimer explains how what they were putting up constituted towards fair use or something, that wouldn't help Team Four Star's cause.
On the other hand I've seen copyright disclaimers take down videos that were put up by people who owned the copyright, so I wouldn't be surprised if that's more of youtube's paranoia at work.
Buldogue's lawyerWell, that and the Youtube algorithm seems to love reaction videos. It's easy to get thousands of views on one, even if the channel isn't popular otherwise.
The *Legendary* Super Saiyan is motivated by a crying infant! He is a literal giant f***ing baby! Those are always the most recent piece of content and there are so many of them on literally everything.
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.I just don't understand why they brought back Ginyu in the first place. It wasn't necessary. And it kind of hijacked the plot from the Resurrection 'F' material.
The *Legendary* Super Saiyan is motivated by a crying infant! He is a literal giant f***ing baby!Well as far as padding goes he's still more interesting than Pilaf and his gang were in the Battle of Gods saga. But it really looks like fanservice. I think the problem is the pacing. Ginyu would have been an interesting challenge for the Z-team if he didn't take over Tagoma before he had a chance doing something awesome and if he lasted more than half an episode.

We also don't know of any alien races that have shown aptitude to reach that level of power that he could belong to.
All you've done is rule out the impossible, but that doesn't justify his gains. Especially since he was introduced as being far weaker than that level, and made up that difference in four months of poorly explained training.
Piccolo's league is absolutely "out there". He might not be as strong as Goku or Vegeta, but you don't need to be that bloody strong to be part of the top fighters of the universe.
So yeah, we don't know Tagoma's race. Which means that we don't know of anything that could justify his bullshit power up.

He trained with Freeza and was his punching bag while his boss trained up to god levels. That is all the justification I need.
Personally, my explanation would be that red guy was already stronger than Freeza, and like Abo and Kado, had gotten that way by training for the last thirteen years and or fighting against planetary rebellion for the last 13 years.
I'd have explained away "strong as Zarbon and Dodoria in their prime" as either A) Sorbet not actually knowing what his true power level was because red guy could suppress it. B) A lie.
Bringing Freezer back to life wasn't their first choice of action. Not only because of the dreaded super saiyan who also defeated Majin Buu but also because Freeza was a murderous tinpot with an easily triggered temper. Red guy could have been very well capable of putting down one rebellion or two but constant warfare might have been eating into their resources, their might have been too many for him to stop at once, they're might have been enough opponents strong enough to overwhelm him through sheer numbers or better yet, all three at once. Freeza might have been planned as a figurehead used as much for name recognition and fear as much as he was for actual fighting. Sorbet's surprise at the fact Freeza could raise his battle power then could be interpreted not just as surprise but "Oh no, this might have been a REALLY bad idea!"
Having Champa/Vados train Freeza sounds like a good idea too. Just go through the whole "I will raise my power level to gabillion in four months" thing only for them to show up and ask something like "And how do you plan on doing that?" or "Do you really thing that will be enough?" and Freeza to freak out, thinking he/she is Beerus/Whis and thus accept their help. Freeza mistaking Vados for Whis is better, even though Whis never came off as being overly feminine to me in the Japanese version, because it would better tie in with Freezer freaking out at the sight of Beerus later than if he saw "Beerus" has suspiciously gone from obese to slim.(alternatively, Champa/Vados could use a disguise gadget)
Buldogue's lawyerGuy guys, clearly Frieza and Tagoma took the One Punch Man regime; 100 Push-ups, 100 sit ups, and 100 Squats. EVERY SINGLE DAY.
It was agonizing, but you can see the results.
