How?
All that happened was Ginyu showed up in a really contrived way, Gotenks showed up (in an albeit funny way) and instantly defused, and then the rest of the episode was the actual episode really undeservedly giving Gohan as much of a "Reason You Suck" Speech as it could without actually having a character give him one.
Like, the show itself was pretty much like "Ha, take that Gohan! You wanted to follow your dreams and become a successful businessman? Well, look, your mentor had to die because you suck so much!"
I know I'm really hung up on this, but I honestly have no idea why anyone would really like this episode other than because.
what do you mean I didn't win, I ate more wet t-shirts than anyone elseWell, the lore of Online says he studies the scientific properties of Ki and other series concepts like Katchin.
He publishes a book on his findings, Groundbreaking Science, in Age 804 — 25 years after the current point in Super.

"It's liberating, realizing you never need to be competent." — UltimatepheerGohan took care of Taginyu fine once he went Super Saiyan. Freeza brutalizing Gohan wasn't the series going 'Gohan sucks because he followed his dreams and doesn't fight anymore'. Freeza brutalizing Gohan was the series going 'remember how evil Freeza was? Well now he's crazy too! Look at how scary he is!'.
Ok. I actually watched it, and I kinda did like it.
I feel sorry for Tagoma getting his nuts smashed in and all, but that was kinda funny.
I'm not happy that Gotenks fell out of the fight so quickly (C'mon! He should be fast enough to get there before his time is up, that's bullshit!) but Frieza recognizing Trunks was something I was curious about.
As for Gohan, once he actually got a little serious, he did do better, but that just lead to Frieza stomping him (which we knew could happen).
Now, I'm not happy about it, but I'm starting to wonder if there is an arc for Gohan in store as well. He himself notes his inability to bring out his full power, and wonders if it's due to his lack of training, and seeing Piccolo die in front of him again (though they obviously still have some Senzu beans) may remind him of why he wanted to be strong back then: so that he didn't have to sit aside and watch his friends get murdered.
Barring his exclusion from the tournament in the Manga (and maybe we're in for a surprise on that one), I wonder if maybe Gohan is gonna start making some time to get himself back in shape. After all, there's always a new threat waiting in the wings.
But I'm probably being too generous.
One Strip! One Strip!Hey if I was stuck in some sweet sugar Ironic Hell I'd probably end up more unhinged than I already was too.
Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession.So... what was the point of the PTO?
What did Freezy Pop have to gain from selling planets that he couldn't just take by force?
It's like the exact opposite of Cut Lex Luthor a Check, why should he run a business when he's the most powerful active fighter in the universe and has no qualms about just killing or taking things?
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique! To be fair, Freeza was so bloody nuts that he thought rushing to Earth with the Time Patroller after training for what amounts to five minutes was a good idea. Yes, I know it was Xenoverse.
Anyway, I still say that "BEAT IT! And take your planet with you! KAMEHAMEHA!" is the bestest thing ever.
himitsu keisatsu seifu chokuzoku kokka hoanbu na no da himitsu keisatsu yami ni magireru supai katsudou torishimariKing Kold, I have no clue, but Freeza was making an honest living doing something that he would gladly do for free. Kill things. He turned murder into a profitable industry, he probably sees the PTO as an interactive work of art.
And I'm not sure I'd call Freezer insane. Selfish, egotistical, murderous, callous, petty, vindictive, sadistic, immoral, irrational, shortsighted, underachieving, bigoted, but not crazy. Unlike, Piccolo, who was spawned by pure evil, Buu absorbed generations worth of evil or Cell, who seemed to have been knocked loopy from his near death experience, Freeza seemed to have narcissistic personality disorder at most, and even then he willingly took orders from his father, leading me to conclude he had no psychological issues. He was just a prick. Hell, he tells Goku himself he understands the concept of "innocent" just fine, and knows it's bad to kill them. He just likes it too much to care. Outside of Bibidi and Babadi, the only characters that come close to the inexcusable immorality that is Freeza either work for Freeza or are part of Freeza's family.
Buldogue's lawyerBasically, Freeza is the single most evil motherf*cker in the entire series. If this were written by Brian Clevinger, he'd be Black Mage.
