  • Goku teleports Vegeta to Kaioshin planet to learn the Fusion Dance.
  • Super Buu shrugs and looks around. Upon realizing there's nothing left to kill, he blows up the planet and moves on.

There are some flaws in this plan.

Earth can be wished back with Namek's dragon balls, even then you're assuming Super Buu would just destroy the Earth.

Well, they could still kill Boo elsewhere and just wish back Earth. The question is if they'd willingly do that. I suppose they wouldn't have a reason not to since there's only three other people alive on Earth at that point.

Fair point, it's not an unreasonable assumption.

They'd have to wait for Super Buu to go somewhere with a breathable atmosphere.

Having two time limits to worry about doesn't seem like a great idea.

I mean, Buu blows up the Earth later anyway, so. It's not that big a deal. What with Namek and all.

Well, Vegeta's certainly seen the dance before and probably multiple times. Given his nature as a Saiyan, he could probably pull it off perfectly having just watched it a few times. They could also do the trick they pulled in GT by setting up a lot of Afterimages also doing the dance to confuse Boo. How it can trick someone who can sense ki is anyone's guess but still.

I forgot they used After Images in GT to stall.

I wouldn't describe having the characters use a technique that's long been rendered obsolete and just saying it works as "clever."

There's a reason they stopped using Zanzokens. Characters were able to defeat the technique by sensing out the real person as early as the 22nd Tenkaichi Budokai, when Kame-sennin used several against Tien and Tien effortlessly nailed him anyway.

I'm not sure which gets more shit from the fanbase, Yamcha or GT.

Probably GT.

I know ONE person in the entire fandom who really likes GT.

I think I've met more than one Yamcha fan, though.

You name's hard to remember so I went off your avatar. I think you're the only persona here that's said they liked GT.

...considering I watched the original Japanese dub of GT as a kid when it was on TV (yes, it was on TV for me), then yeah, I like the series.

For me, there's a difference between liking something and thinking it's good.

I like Commando.

I don't think it's a good movie, though.

I like some of GT. Baby and the Shadow Dragons.

Animation is good, and some of the ideas were interesting even if they weren't executed as well as they could be.

I liked the concept of the Shadow Dragons at first but I've since learned it's too mired in plot holes (in particular the large amount of characters who apparently knew all along but didn't say anything) for me to take seriously.

I like the concept of "evil elemental dragons centered around the Dragon Balls", but yeah, the logic used to get there is pretty flawed.

Also Omega Shenron has a really good design.
