Because we were all focused how much of a loser Gohan was since he botched that fight.
Though, now that I think about it, Gohan was as successful in that battle as Goku was in his fight with Vegeta. I mean, Goku did a little better, but he still lost the one on one fight in the end, and ended up needing help, just like Gohan did.
Kinda funny when you think about it.
One Strip! One Strip!......
Well, not right away, but Vegeta did get a nice Zenkai from that beating.
But on the whole, your right.
One Strip! One Strip! And it ended in a complete anticlimax.
If you're going to reference one of the most iconic scenes in the series, at least do it for a fight that's actually good. And is reminiscent of the Goku/Vegeta fight.
And I also have to agree with Saiga - Power Levels weren't as pointless as everyone says they were. It was actually useful in showing everyone's relative strengths. And most of the time, the character with the higher power level DID win. At least if it was the heroes.

The *Legendary* Super Saiyan is motivated by a crying infant! He is a literal giant f***ing baby! No, he definitely did not at this stage. He makes it clear on Namek that suppressing his power is a trick he learned on Earth:
He knew about it because he was monitoring the battle with Raditz on his scouter. Then he went straight to Earth, and was prepared to face people his scouter wouldn't be completely reliable against.
edit: Comparing Goku v Vegeta with Gohan v Boo - they're pretty much the same. Both lost against an opponent stronger than them, and couldn't win on their own. The difference here is that people arriving saved Goku, but might have screwed over Gohan - he'd just been healed by Dende, and Boo's fusion time was basically up. If Goku hadn't intervened and distracted Gohan he might not have been absorbed.

I just checked to see if the manga was on iBooks, and... it is. It is indeed.
"It's liberating, realizing you never need to be competent." — UltimatepheerThere's a lot of voice actor repetition.
Like Supreme Kai and Tao Pai Pai
Or like Vegeta, Ten, Yamcha, and probably half the minor characters
My various fanfics.I would like to see Raditz, at least. I mean, he is Goku's freaking brother. Lot of potential with a rematch between him and Goku.

Well, obviously someone did. Nice touch.
