Inspired by this thread
, I've noticed that this wiki doesn't have a dedicated cleanup thread for negativity.
As we all know, Complaining About Shows You Don't Like, Creator Bashing and other negativity isn't desired on the wiki, except in a few selected areas like reviews and several Darth Wiki pages (and even then, with limitations). And yet, it's one of the most common sins wiki contributors can make.
So, if you find a page, TLP or discussion whose content seems like a straight-up insult or any other bitching - including complainy soapboxing -, you might ask here for help with removing said content.
The sandbox for this project is located at Works That Require Cleanup of Complaining.

the Fan Dumb and Adaptation Decay / Jump the Shark / They Changed It, Now It Sucks! Should be removed from main entries since they are either YMMV, flamebait or in universe only.
Also, WMG dont get edit by other users i think. Also, many of their entries do look complaining.

One of the mods undid the edits to the work page, so there’s that.
But what about the rest of the edits the troper made?

I'm a writer for a Team Fortress 2: Swap. Check it out!Does Fanfic.Friendship Is Failure really need to have separate pages for both The Scrappy and Unintentionally Unsympathetic? Those pages mostly share the same characters that people hate, making it redundant.

Thomas fans needed! Come join me in the the show's cleanup thread!I've come to question the validity of another troper's edit on a Narm entry on YMMV.Azur Lane:
- Narm: Sometimes the fanservice gets awkward and distracting rather than arousing. Tennessee comes to mind, where she's trying to look tough but the effect is ruined by a prominent pantyshot. Some would even say that some loading screens are not just Narmy, but borderline scrappy, due to the amount of fanservice they showcase, with two of the biggest offenders being the Onsen loading screen featuring copious amount of nudity with the Censor Steam barely doing anything, and the 4th of July "Washington Crossing the Delaware" screen. As of Halloween 2019, one of the Halloween-themed loading screens, featuring succubi versions of most of the big-breasted characters received a similar reception.
The emboldened text was added right after I deleted a Broken Base entry decrying the same issue for Halloween 2019.
To me, this seems like a gross misuse of Narm and a way to weasel in some of the Vocal Minority's viewpoints.
"They played us like a DAMN FIDDLE!" — Kazuhira Miller, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom PainBrokenAesop.Live Action TV * The infamous "Ice Cream Sexuality" animation from ''Series/BillNyeSavesTheWorld''. It ''tries'' to conclude with a "It's okay to not be straight don't be such a prude" message, but instead portrays [[UnfortunateImplications far worst messages]] like "If you're LGBT you're a depraved ExtremeOmnisexual who engages in massive orgies," "Straight people are just LGBT people waiting to be converted," and "It's okay to sexually harass a HeteronormativeCrusader to try and change their mind."
I intend to cut because it doesn’t explain how the moral is contradicted by its internal logic. Aesops coming off as something different than intended isn’t this. Plus uncited Unfortunate Implication entry. Objections?
We actually have an Aesop cleanup thread, so that example can be discussed there.
Anyway, The Beautiful Skies of Houou High is pretty bashy toward the author and story, and while it's not without reason, it's still...ehh...

Working on: Author Appeal | Sandbox | Troper WallAnother troper changed the indentation into a subbullet:
- Narm: Sometimes the fanservice gets awkward and distracting rather than arousing. Tennessee comes to mind, where she's trying to look tough but the effect is ruined by a prominent pantyshot. Some would even say that some loading screens are not just Narmy, but borderline scrappy, due to the amount of fanservice they showcase, with two of the biggest offenders being the Onsen loading screen featuring copious amount of nudity with the Censor Steam barely doing anything, and the 4th of July "Washington Crossing the Delaware" screen.
- As of Halloween 2019, one of the Halloween-themed loading screens, featuring succubi versions of most of the big-breasted characters received a similar reception. The reception was so bad that they actually removed it in a hotfix, stating that it "had brought inconvenience to commanders when the game was played in public".
This has gone straight to trying to weasel an Internet Backdraft complaint.
"They played us like a DAMN FIDDLE!" — Kazuhira Miller, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom PainNarm is for something serious that comes off as silly. It doesn't matter how the example text is indented; it's Not an Example.

I noticed a subtle bit of complaining in this Simpsons example here:
- Series Continuity Error: Milhouse really had no reason to gloat about having Krusty over at his party — Bart already had Krusty over for dinner at his place in "Like Father, Like Clown" (and Milhouse was at the Simpson house with Krusty, so that's really bad that the writers would make Milhouse out as a braggart).

Thomas fans needed! Come join me in the the show's cleanup thread!Considering that The Simpsons largely runs off of Negative Continuity (with the occasional Continuity Nod), that seems like clear shoehorning to me.
And right on time, here is some complaining about Californication:
- Loudness War: The Californication album's shitty mastering got even non-audiophile consumers to complain.
- Even the ballad "Scar Tissue" was downright deafening.
- What makes the case of this album particularly egregious is that even the vinyl mix was ruined - apparently, it was run through a digital dynamic range processor before being mastered for vinyl, which is usually mixed from analogue sources. The CDs of future RHCP albums were also brickwalled, but the vinyl mix of at least Stadium Arcadium was made from a pristine analogue mix by audiophile favourite Steve Hoffman that basically cancelled out all the CD version's flaws. With Californication, listeners don't have that option with any of the commercially available versions, so the whole thing is basically ruined. The mastering however is still better on vinyl than on CD, due to the fact that the CD version was given additional compression compared to the vinyl version.
- There is, however, an unmastered version making the rounds on the Internets of an earlier version of the album that does not have the clipping problems, although includes a few alternate versions and some outtakes too. This is one of those cases where the album can basically only be truly appreciated through piracy.
- It's worth noting that One Hot Minute was pretty loud too, especially for its day. Not Californication levels of awful though.
This is scar tissue/a purple stain on the Red Hot Chili Pepper's trope page. I mean, around the world, in any language, it's complaining. The troper writing this must have want to get on top of hyperbole and ranting about the suckiness of the album's sucky audio distortion. Even in a parallel universe/an otherside where complaining was a-ok, this would still easily be cut because of the natter. But, I think that this example has dreams of Californication being a good example. With this velvet glove our hard work, we could turn this dirt which I like, this porcelain toilet, and make this a savior of examples in one hot minute. And I will go road trippin' to find more complain' in regards to the RHCP, and maybe even emit Remmus a remix sans the bad parts.
If there's anything worth salvaging, the Thread Mode definitely isn't worth keeping.
So, quick question about Trivia.Neon Genesis Evangelion regarding the entry on The Other Darrin:
- None of the English actors of the TV series and films reprised their roles. The series was re-recorded in Los Angeles rather than in Houston. Even then, when the first two films had LA-based voice actors in addition to those who lived in Houston at the time, none did return, not even Spike Spencer, Amanda Winn-Lee or Tiffany Grant. Many a fan weren't happy about this.
Does the last part sound like complaining and if so, should it be removed or rewritten?

He/His/Him. No matter who you are, always Be Yourself.YMMV.My Little Pony Friendship Is Magic S 9 E 25 The Ending Of The End Part 2
- Why Would Anyone Take Him Back?: A platonic one, in this case. Despite Rainbow Dash calling it a pretty epic make-up, any fans feel that Discord roasting Tirek and making him accidentally release Starlight doesn't make up for him trying to boost Twilight's confidence by bringing together the Mane Six's worst villains and putting Equestria in danger.
Are platonic examples even allowed for this trope? This seems like an attempt to add Unintentionally Unsympathetic which was decided against here
. Should it explain why they find it insufficient?
From YMMV.Thunder Cats Roar:
- Snark Bait: Yet another unwanted reboot of a beloved classic cartoon? Check. Juvenile humor that is only going to appeal to very young children? Check. The usage of an unoriginal artstyle that's been done to death at this point and looks ugly mixed with the character designs? Check. Add the incompetent animation, and you got yourself a recipe for disaster.
Overly negative? Check. Sinkhole car crash? Check. Assuming things about a show that only has one released trailer? Check. Mix in a stupid checklist format, and you've got a very bad example. Permission to zap?

Recently, some edits were made by a single user for multiple pages on Infinity Trian (links at the bottom). However, I’m questioning the validity of their edits, and I’m not entirely sure where I would need to go to ask about it.
That being said, the Fan Dumb and Adaptation Decay / Jump the Shark / They Changed It, Now It Sucks! entries in the main page are especially rubbing me the wrong way. https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/article_history.php?article=WesternAnimation.InfinityTrain
