Inspired by this thread
, I've noticed that this wiki doesn't have a dedicated cleanup thread for negativity.
As we all know, Complaining About Shows You Don't Like, Creator Bashing and other negativity isn't desired on the wiki, except in a few selected areas like reviews and several Darth Wiki pages (and even then, with limitations). And yet, it's one of the most common sins wiki contributors can make.
So, if you find a page, TLP or discussion whose content seems like a straight-up insult or any other bitching - including complainy soapboxing -, you might ask here for help with removing said content.
The sandbox for this project is located at Works That Require Cleanup of Complaining.

I've posted this before but never got an answer. Gundam Build Divers may need a look since it feels like some of the entries are Complaining About People Not Liking the Show (specifically the Americans Hate Tingle section and the last Internet Backdraft entry), though I'm not sure.
"If you spent as much time fightin' as ye did hidin', maybe this wouldn't have happened!"Here's something I've noticed: the What An Idiot page for Eddsworld has only one example, and it's apparently not been updated for two years. Should it be cut? Here's the page in question.
Regardless of the example's validity, I'm pretty sure at least three valid examples are required for trope-specific subpages to exist (with the exception of subpages for Sugar Wiki and Darth Wiki stuff), and even then such subpages are generally reserved for example lists that are much longer than that.

I got a rock for Halloween.Should this paragraph be removed from the description of Transformers: Armada?
I wouldn't really say it's bashing exactly, but it does just seem to be highlighting random production errors for no real reason.

From YMMV.Mary Poppins Returns:
- It's the Same, Now It Sucks!: A lot of critical reviewers pointed out how much déjà vu the film suffers from, because the high number of similarities between the two films, right down to the similar sequence of events: first the kids clean up or get cleaned, then they enter an animated world, then they meet an eccentric relative of Mary Poppins', they have a rousing dance number with the male friend's mates, and finally, they sing a song about something being airborne. Between The Force Awakens, Incredibles 2, and most of the direct-to-video sequels, it's not the first long-awaited sequel distributed by Disney to be accused of this.
Exactly how many previous examples should this list? It started out with just The Force Awakens, which I find unfair to call the first Disney sequel to feel too much like a retread. (I added the DTV sequels, but the original author added Incredibles 2 afterwards)
I’m sorry for adding the last part. I thought we were just adding even more so I did. I still think the sentence needs to be included. Disney has been accused of repeating themselves way too much with their sequels and it needs to be stated. The incredibles 2 and the DTV sequels could be let go but the Force Awakens part needs to stay.
No, it really doesn't need to be there. It doesn't add anything to the entry other than to wonk about Disney, and wonking isn't allowed on the wiki, even on YMMV.
The Force Awakens has its own It's the Same, Now It Sucks! entry. It doesn't need to be reiterated in another entry for a different film.
I noticed that some entries of Fan Nickname are quite bashy. I'll be taking care of some video game entries first, since I saw some in A-F, but any help is appreciated.
Can I please just say "all of YMMV.Paper Mario Color Splash" and be done with it?
No?
...fine.
Captain Obvious Reveal seems to be complaining about things that were shown in trailers (come on man, Bowser being involved + the Koopalings = Bowser is obviously the bad guy).
Contested Sequel basically restates Broken Base.
Disappointing Last Level bashes Sticker Star for no particular reason.
Enjoy the Story, Skip the Game basically says "the game is bad and the story is bad too, the people are actually enjoying the comedic writing and the gorgeous visuals" i.e. the trope doesn't actually apply.
Ensemble Dark Horse: The Birdo section seems all too happy to say "She is a welcomed wind of fresh air in this world full of nameless generic characters."
The first two bullets of Fanon Discontinuity seem to have been written by Captain Grumpy.
It's the Same, So It Sucks: bleh
Memetic Mutation: Unsure about Blinded by Salt and Pepper
Mis-blamed: Part of the first bullet was added by one Dark Chirano, who I literally asked about last year.
The second Older Than They Think bullet just seems like an excuse to bring up features in older Paper Mario games that aren't as prevalent here.
Scrappy Mechanic: Dear god rocket chainsaw this entire thing, so much needs to be trimmed. The only thing that I think can stay as is is the last one about Non-Standard Game Overs.
Surprisingly Improved Sequel: Except it isn't, maybe? This example is just bad and whoever wrote it should feel bad.
They Wasted a Perfectly Good Character: Keep the rocket chainsaw handy, this needs a big ol' trimmeroni.
They Wasted a Perfectly Good Plot: Third and fourth bullet points are wack.
Dakari-King Mykan's work pages are dedicated to bashing the author as much as the fics.
The Protomen enhanced my life.![]()
@Paper Mario Color Splash. Haven't played it, but I've played the "accepted" ones multiple times and dropped Sticker Star early on, but I think I've got enough passing familiarity to contribute:
-Agree on cutting Captain Obvious Reveal
-Contested Sequel sounds valid enough, but shave out the bashing and cut the redundant parts from Broken Base.
-Cut the Sticker Star bashing in Disapointing Last Level
-Enjoy the Story Skip the Game sounds valid. Just cut out the bashing "It's story isn't that good though."
-Fanon Discontinuity seems valid (at least overall, maybe trim down the whining), but I don't know if it should be listed on Color Splash's page or just on the Paper Mario series page
-Same so It Sucks. Seems okay to me aside from the tone.
-Dunno about the memes. Honestly all of them sound kind of suspicious to me.
-Dunno about Misblamed.
-Older than they Think sound okay to me. The Sunset Express Shy guy is famous enough that even a guy like me who hasn't played Color Splash knows about him, and seems to be one of the most iconic parts of the game compared to the forgetable bowser minion moments listed. Although you can probably cut the last part about non-bowser friendly locals
-No idea about scrappy mechanics, although we can probably at least shave out the "just like in Sticker Star" phrasings.
-Trim Surprisingly Improved Sequel down to just: "Color Splash is near-universally considered a step up from Sticker Star thanks to its direct improvements to the characters and gameplay."
-Wasted a Character: Cut everything except maybe the Black Paint one (I don't know about it).
-Wasted a Plot: Agreed. Cut away.

The trope descriptions for the Girls in WesternAnimation. The Powerpuff Girls 2016's page image seem a little harsh, specifically Bubbles' being Cute and Psycho.
Jawbreakers on sale for 99¢Someone made a What An Idiot page for Mister Metokur
. Since he's a YouTube personality, does anyone think that reflects Real Life? I thought Real Life examples weren't allowed for this trope.
That page is all insulting real people. Destroy it, please.
Heck, just about every subpage on Metokur appears to contain meta-examples that qualify as drama importation and sidestepping of No Real Life Examples, Please!. That bold warning about the Rule Of Cautious Editing Judgment on the main page is clearly not enough.
Click on "Tools" in the sidebar, then click "Cut List", then type in the article you want to cut as a Wiki Word, in this case "WhatAnIdiot/MisterMetokur" (no quotes). Just give a reason for why it needs to be cut, then click "Doom it" and you're done.
The Cut List can also be reached through a Wiki Word, like so: "CutList" = Cut List.
EDIT: Looks like someone already added that page to the Cut List, so nothing else needs to be done.

Is it really Just Here for Godzilla to watch a show for its main character, who is on-screen for the vast majority of its runtime? Isn't that a little like saying that you only watch basketball for the parts where the players are on the court?
