Inspired by this thread
, I've noticed that this wiki doesn't have a dedicated cleanup thread for negativity.
As we all know, Complaining About Shows You Don't Like, Creator Bashing and other negativity isn't desired on the wiki, except in a few selected areas like reviews and several Darth Wiki pages (and even then, with limitations). And yet, it's one of the most common sins wiki contributors can make.
So, if you find a page, TLP or discussion whose content seems like a straight-up insult or any other bitching - including complainy soapboxing -, you might ask here for help with removing said content.
The sandbox for this project is located at Works That Require Cleanup of Complaining.

Creator's Pet has four specific criteria, as described on that page. Unless an example fits all of them (and describes how it does so), it doesn't fit.
Since the target audience of Sesame Street is children, audience reaction examples have to take that into account. Older viewers hating those characters is Periphery Hatedom, which is Flame Bait and not to be listed anywhere. Checking Periphery Hatedom shows that those characters are already listed there.
Alright, Sesame entries are gone. I don't why I have to constantly bring Sesame complaining up here. Sometimes I theorize that it's most of the time the same editor (who I also think has put similar rants on the wiki about The Wubbulous World of Dr. Seuss) but take this with a grain of salt as it's just a hunch and I have no evidence.

She/her. Profile pic is by Richard Michael Gomez @StarmansArt. Please watch Fraggle Rock: Back to the Rock. https://youtu.be/Vm92JNgPbqkI mean, you can just dig into the history and find out.
Working on: Author Appeal | Sandbox | Troper WallI checked the history, and if you're referring to Like A Big Pizza Pie, they do appear to be the one who added those entries.
yep, that name sounds obnoxiously familiar. I'd say they have a Single Issue Wonk. Fortunately they haven't edited since last year.

BTW, is YMMV.Law And Order Special Victims Unit too complainy or is it just a fair amount of fandom criticism?

I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe.
Apologies for forgetting that I already took this to Ask The Tropers.
For SVU
We could remove These for one.
- Esoteric Happy Ending: Due to the ineptitude of the parties involved it is highly unlikely that a lot of the cases will end in a conviction due to the substantial amount of reasonable doubt the cops give the defense.
- "Contagious" is about a person wrongly being accused of rape by a 12 year old, who's actually too scared to name the real culprit. Before she recants her lie, the uncle she accused is arrested in public, and multiple parents accidentally pressure their kids into (falsely) testifying that they were raped by the guy. Eventually the SVU realize that they accidentally pressured the kid into naming the culprit because they were so sure it was him. They get the kid to testify who the culprit is and are easily able to prove he did it... but their main witness already lied, so why believe her now? (This is actually negated by the fact that the SVU can pin the guy for murder, but if the rape was his only crime, he'd walk.)
(The first part is general and uh well a lot of villains confess or are gotten on DNA, actively committing a crime, etc. So a conviction wouldn't be too weird)
And in the second one. Even the entry mentions this dude confessed to this. I don't know how this would be a difficult trail when you plead?
"That's right mortal. By channeling my divine rage into power, I have forged a new instrument in which to destroy you."Are those the only two bullets? Lists of the form
- Trope: This work frequently uses the trope in manner XYZ
- Example of trope used in manner XYZ
- Another XYZ
- More XYZ
are fairly common; the top-level description text is not an example so much as a summary of the below examples. But it only works if you have a list of multiple similar examples.
e: oh wait the page was linked right there
Yeah that's what's going on in this case.

Suddenly I'm... still rotating Fallen London in my mind even though I've stopped actively playing it.Yeah there's a second bullet. The first isn't really a general example IMO, it's setting up the indented examples.
I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe. This entry on MisaimedFandom.Anime And Manga seems weirdly passive aggressive towards people who don’t understand Yamato, the potholes to certain tropes not helping. It also dosen't explain what they’re saying either.
- One Piece:
- One of the core themes of One Piece is to follow your dreams no matter what anyone tells you. Characters regularly achieve the impossible through sheer force of will and even the dreams of villains are only looked down on if that villain decides hurting others is a key component. Good luck explaining any of this to certain people whenever Yamato is being discussed. His exact gender identity is somewhat ambiguous in the sense that there are countless ways a person can be transgender (so his body is not a strong counterargument) but to suggest any orientation is unrealistic for any reason means you don't understand the world of One Piece.

Thomas fans needed! Come join me in the the show's cleanup thread!Without more context for Yamato's story, that just sounds like fans being transphobic, which unfortunately will happen to any work with a trans (or even ambiguously trans) character and may be too broad for Misaimed Fandom. But with a bit more explanation and cutting those potholes, it'll probably be valid.
I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe.Replace the third centence onwards ("certain people") to a neutral writing how some amount of fans are critical about Yamato following his own dreams while it's fine for everyone else.
TroperWall / WikiMagic Cleanup
Why make it even-ended? It's not Broken Base, it's Misaimed Fandom. The comparison necessary here is the misaimed fandom versus the show's intentions.
I did not suggest writing about the supporters, so I don't see even-endedness here.
TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupWhat did you mean by "how some amount of fans are critical about Yamato following his own dreams while it's fine for everyone else" then? /gen
EDIT: Ohhh nvm, Ambiguous Syntax, thought "fine for everyone else" meant the fandom not the characters.

I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe. This was just added to Calvin and Hobbes, and something about it feels wrong to me.
- No Yay: Hobbes, a stuffed animal who seems to be a fully grown tiger in Calvin's mind, is occasionally attracted to Susie who is a 6 year-old girl. One of the worst depictions of this is when in one strip, Hobbes comments on how he's "easily wiled by [Susie] in a swimsuit."
I guess it's because since Hobbes is an extension of Calvin's own personality, Bill Watterson's intention was that he represents Calvin's own hidden crush on Susie.

Admittedly, I'm not too knowledgeable on Calvin and Hobbes but I do know that Hobbes is an imaginary friend of Calvin, so I do think it's reasonable to assume that Hobbes' crush on Susie is an extension of Calvin's.

CG for shortI don't recall anything about swimwear, but every strip I read in which it happens is more on the level of them playing together and only the subtext with Calvin makes it at all romantic. I'd say cut, though I'm not sure what qualifies for No Yay anyway.
Stories don't tell us monsters exist; we knew that already. They show us that monsters can be trademarked and milked for years.

should I cut the Abby Cadabby one underneath it? It's decently written but I don't think she has any sort of hatedom like Elmo.
