Inspired by this thread, I've noticed that this wiki doesn't have a dedicated cleanup thread for negativity.
As we all know, Complaining About Shows You Don't Like, Creator Bashing and other negativity isn't desired on the wiki, except in a few selected areas like reviews and several Darth Wiki pages (and even then, with limitations). And yet, it's one of the most common sins wiki contributors can make.
So, if you find a page, TLP or discussion whose content seems like a straight-up insult or any other bitching - including complainy soapboxing -, you might ask here for help with removing said content.
The sandbox for this project is located at Works That Require Cleanup of Complaining.

From Not-So-Cheap Imitation:
- Bluey was designed as an Australian replica of Peppa Pig. However, it is very well-liked by people outside the primary target audience of preschoolers and many parents will admit to watching it without their kids present. Peppa Pig's animation is crude and simplistic and Daddy Pig is mocked by his family regularly; Bluey has neither of these faults, having gorgeous art and animation and a competent, respectfully-portrayed father figure in the form of Bandit.
This sounds a bit both too much complaining and gushing at the same time to me. What do you think?

It is very complain-y, and also gushy towards Bluey. I don't know if it's valid, but it at least needs a rewrite.

- The Neon Genesis Evangelion: Angelic Days spinoff is actually a subverted High School AU, as it is quickly revealed that all the Humongous Mecha and Ancient Conspiracy stuff is going on in this universe too, the main difference being that everyone's a whole lot less wangsty about it.
Cut everything past "the main difference".
TRS Queue | Works That Require Cleanup of Complaining | Troper WallGotcha. Updated.
Found this on the headscratcher page for Total Recall (2012). I understand that headscratcher pages are more informal but this specific discussion leaves a bad taste in my mouth.
- The biggest headscratcher of all has to be, why do I care that the big bad wants to invade the 'colony' in the first place? Nothing is done to make the colony sympathetic in any way, besides the fact the nominal 'hero' of the piece lives there(and even that doesn't help). After this troper watched a lot of fisticuffs, loud car chases and some other stuff I forget, the movie reminded me I was supposed to be rooting for Quaid because of the planned invasion-I still wasn't able to care whether he invaded or not. The colony is oppressed didnt work since it really didn't seem all the different from Britain except they had nicer teeth and perfect hair in the Federation.
- Well, most people automatically think that an armed force marching in and slaughtering a bunch of people because they want their stuff is bad. They don't really need to be given a "reason" to not want to see a bunch of people who didn't do anything mowed down so that other people can move into their apartments. Generally asking an entire country's population "Do you have a particularly good reason we shouldn't herd you all into gas chambers so we can take what you own?" is an indicator of severe mental and moral defect.
- Nice ad-hom there with no-so-subtle 'Hitler comparison' thrown in for good measure. Well played!. But leaving that tasteless implication aside, In-Universe, the Big-Bad doesnt overtly state hes going to stage a massacre of 10, 100s? of millions of people, and really provides no real justification besides wanting land which is vaguely alluded to, thus we have no reason to 'care' if he does, because he tells us very little. Its even worse when we see during the movie, the Big Damn Hero takes a very short trip to a contaminated area literally within sight of the pristine high-rises of the UFB. Now, since Cohaagen has access to a vast bunch of robo-soliders, would it not have been much cheaper, (and easier) to re-purpose, or build those robots as decontamination-bots instead and reclaim the space? That is a like a several minute ride away? Rather than a risky and expensive invasion of an area on the opposite side of the earth and requires a trip through the Earths core. Either way, the original point still stands. The movies makes zero attempt to create any sort of attachment to the 'colony' nor does the Big Bads strategy make a whole lot of sense either. All we see of the 'Colony' is a VR playground for people wanting to escape reality, a lot of hookers and street thugs, and lots of trash. Not so much as a cute kid to justify Hausers heel-faced turn.
- Y'know, if you don't want to be called a sociopath, maybe you shouldn't dismiss people's right to live just because you don't find them endearing enough.

Ewwhhhh
That's justifying freaking colonialism.
"That's right mortal. By channeling my divine rage into power, I have forged a new instrument in which to destroy you."Yikes. I have no objections to cutting that.
Thread Mode-level natter, and this wonderful portion:
What a disgusting implication. People have to be "endearing" to justify not colonizing them. Slice and dice.

It's so disturbing. That I want to check their edits to see if their doing more of this.
This implies the lives of hookers and street people aren't worth anything too. So vile.

Thomas fans needed! Come join me in the the show's cleanup thread! It's not Natter on Headscratchers...
It's a garbage question even setting aside the Unfortunate Implications. Headscratchers isn't for bashing.
Currently Working On: Incorruptible Pure PurenessShould we block them from the site just to be safe?
Thomas fans needed! Come join me in the the show's cleanup thread!Only the moderators get to decide that, and the person hasn't touched the wiki in 6 years, so I don't think they would see it as necessary.

If no one has any issues I'm just going to cut the entire conversation, it doesn't say anything actually important and is just an unpleasant mess.
Hope your prepared for an unforgettable luncheonGo ahead and cut.
As for the user, if they've been inactive for that long, then a suspension would be pointless.
she/her | TRS needs your help! | Contributor of Trope ReportI agree with cutting it. Was Headscratchers still called It Just Bugs Me in 2012 (the movie's year of release)? (It was known as It Just Bugs Me when I joined, and I sort of remember the name change, but I don't remember when it was changed.) In the past, this thread has encountered complaint-filled Headscratchers threads that predate the name change, but I don't know if that's one of them.

Patiently awaiting the release of Paper Luigi and the Marvelous Compass. This entry in YMMV.Pokemon S 1 E 38 Electric Soldier Porygon reads as a bit too bashy in my book:
- Misblamed: Because it was the Pokémon of the week, it's often mentioned that Porygon was the one who caused the seizure-inducing flashing lights when in fact it was Pikachu shocking the inside of the computer the main trio were in. But since Pikachu's the mascot and everything, Porygon was branded as the scapegoat, and as a result, Porygon and its evolutions have yet to make another major appearance in the anime.

Why waste time when you can see the last sunset last? Also I’d split the part about Porygon and it’s evolutions being exiled from the anime into a seperate “Never Live It Down” entry (assuming it isn’t there already since I haven’t read the page in it’s current state).
Why waste time when you can see the last sunset last?In my eyes, Misblamed is for staff, not characters.
"Listen up, Marina, because this is SUPER important. Whatever you do, don't eat th“ “DON'T EAT WHAT?! Your text box ran out of space!”So remove mention of Pikachu and instead say it was the fault of the animators?
Why waste time when you can see the last sunset last? No, just cut it.
"Listen up, Marina, because this is SUPER important. Whatever you do, don't eat th“ “DON'T EAT WHAT?! Your text box ran out of space!”
Cut that one out.
